A woman i know who i am close to is suffering from female pattern baldness. I thought i heard that scientists had found a cure for baldness in general - does anyone know of a good/proven over-the-counter treatment for this condition.

Thanks so much.

I am just so curious of this D&C procedure. If you undergo this procedure, will you be hospitalized? How many days? Is it painful? What are the effects? Will I feel pain after, discomfort either?

I had 8 days off work and can no-longer self certify. The doctors will not give me a note in retrospective. I am looking for a website link or contact who I can buy a blank note from. Many thanks. UK only.

There are a lot of skinny people in America, just some people are made skinny, and some fat, thats just the way G-d made us, and everyone is perfect on the inside and outside, you shouldn't be judging a person by the way they look on the outside, but rather on the inside.
So I want evryone to shout their crappy little bitchy mouths, and to stop asking questions and saying things, like Ameica is so lazy, and so fat.

I have walked on my tip toes since I was old enough to walk. When I was 10 I had an operation to lentghen them which didn't work as I had a growing spurt straight after. The consultant recommended I waited till I was 19/20 to repeat the op.

I am now 25 and just recently the problem has started bothering me again. I only ever were heels out of personal choice but recently have joined a gym and bought some trainers I also bought a pair of flat boots. My legs now feel like they are going to drop off, the pull down the back of my leg is painful if I walk for more than a couple of minutes. I am 25 now and repeating the op is out of the question at the moment because of my 2 children and my degree.

So has anyone else got this problem? Did you go to physio? Is it possible to get inserts for your shoes?

Thanks all for reading.

My husband and I are travelling on an adventure holiday in the remote parts of Brazil. Both of us seem to have picked up some sort of eye infection. There is no doctor around but a small one room pharmacy sold us the following medicines. Apparently here you dont need a prescription to buy anything. They are the following eye drops.
Maxitrol - containing dexametasone, neomycin sulphate and polimycin B sulpate,
Claroft- containing nafazolina cloridrato
Trisorb - containing dextrana, hipromelose, glicerol.

Some of the names are the portuguese version. The problem is both my husband and I are borderline glaucoma and were warned by our own ophthalmologist never to indiscriminately use eye drops as they might contain steroids that could drive up the eye pressure. We dont know if these drops contain steroids and we have no doctor to ask here. Please if anyone can comment we would be grateful.

I have been having bloating, various episodes of constipation, sharp but random pains on my abdomen and sometimes back. Other than that, I feel fine! No fever, no dizziness…I have had a blood test – fine, I have had a sonogram – fine, am now going for a ct scan…My GI doc suggests that I may have either IBS or might be getting too much fiber in my diet. Can anyone elaborate? Also, please give me a list of foods that are fibrous. I tend to eat pretty healthy and feel as if everything I eat is high in fiber but I’m not sure…I only eat wheat bread as well. My urine is a darker and more concentrated color – could this have anything to do with IBS or my fiber intake?

I have swollen, tender lymph nodes, sore throat (almost to the piont that I can't swollow), slight fever (usually 97.5 but now 98.3), no other upperrespitory symptoms, and a few white lumps near my tonsils. I think it could be because my freind had strep throat and came to school because her doctor said she could because she was on antibiotics. Thanks for your help

PS: I have a doctor appointment at 3:00 pm today, but i have no real idea what I am dealing with. Also, i asked this question before and someone mentioned mono, I have had that before, and as far as I know you can't get it again.

I was injured on the job. I work for a small company and the owner is a nutjob. She would just soon fire somebody who file's workers comp. I injured my neck really bad, however I work every day. I do however take off maybe once every two weeks to visit a doctor. I have always been a salaried employee. She just changed me to hourly and will be docking my pay while visiting the doctor. I am so irritated... I hurt so bad every day when I leave. I'm not too sure what to do. The people I work for are not familiar with the laws and employee's rights. Can they lower my pay while on worker's comp? Can they deduct for my doctor's visits? Help!!!
