My Auntie Joan is 64 and has the worst asthma. She needs to use her puffer at least 3 times a day.

Although it's true that you can develop asthma at any age, more than likely you should have your doctor send you in for a respiratory test. I had the test a year ago as a prelimary test to another surgery and found out I had COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease). There is no cure for that. If your insurance is good (even medicare or medicaid), that is the route I would go.

yes..it's called Adult Onset Asthma! I was diagnosed with it 3 years ago at age 36!

I don't buy it. My doctor told me the same thing and I'm 45.
Gave me all this stuff. Sprays and inhaler. I awaited awhile and now I'm fine.

asthma can be triggered by allergy, or by deterioration of the lungs due to other conditions.
if you ask your doctors they will give a proper explanation

yes .. when kids have it early on they tend to out grow it. when you get it as an adult it tends to be worse/and tends not to go away. if you smoke you must stop.
