My friends just said you can still get pregnant and it just doesn't implant on the sides. The dr. said that it is the most effective birth control. I'm totally confused.

I have pain in my left knee pretty much all the time for the past month or so, but mostly when straightening it from a bent position. I'm a 42 yr old man.
This symptom is new. The Dr I saw last month said the pain over the patella was tendonitis; this is in a different area of the knee.
The first was more over the patella.

I injured it in the summer, mostly from getting in and out of a boat for work, and riding thru rough waves. It got worse so I saw the Dr recently, and he scheduled therapy starting next week.

I decdied to see him this Wed. to see what the new pain could be. This new pain is in a different area, more on the inner side of the knee, up high. It's not swollen.
Advil doesn't seem to change the pain, nor ice.

Any ideas? I'm wondering if they are related.
I'd like to have an idea of what the possibilities are before I see the Dr.

If anyone has a similar experience I'd like to know. Also how it was treated and their outcome.

I'm 5'9" and weigh about 185 pounds, and I'm 21 years old. I'm not out of shape by any means, but I would like to cut about 10-15 pounds in the next two months to get back to the weight I was in high school. Combined with burning fat and adding muscle, how many calories should I target to burn daily? Should I cut all fats out of my diet or just cut saturated and trans fats?

I'm 16, so i know it's normal to have acne. But i've had a lot of pimples on my chin (in the part where there's a dip) for a long time now. I don't really have acne anywhere else. I've tried proactive, which barely helped. Neutrogena products made it a lot worse; in fact, it created a large swelling. What can i do? I'm tired of trying different products like Oxyclean and clean & clear. they barely help at all. the pimples "die down" a bit sometimes (probably has to do with my hormonal cycle), but they never completely go away. what has worked for you???

I have these really bad headaches on my right side of my head. Only my right side. I get them a few times a week. They're horrible, I feel a lot of pressure. I used to take Tylenol but it doesn't work. I've used pretty much everything to get rid of headaches but nothing works. It eventually goes away after a few painful hours. [Sleeping doesn't make it better]

It's not sinus or w/e it's called.

What can I do about this? What can it be? Should I visit a doctor?

[ps] I'm only 17! My parents say it's because I don't eat well, but lately I have.

Help?!?

I need some good crock pot recipes because I have a newborn and teach piano in the evenings so cooking dinner has been a little tricky. My husband and I are VERY healthy eaters, so I am looking for FAT FREE or VERY, VERY, VERY low-fat recipes to use in our crock pot. I've searched online a bit, but so many have a LOT of fat! I had stomach pain in my lower right side eight days ago. I ignored it, but it hasn't gone away yet. Now it's not only my right side but I also feel some pain higher and some on my left side. The pain gets worse after I eat, though it's not as bad as I'm eating. Does anyone know what this possibly could be? I don't really want to have to go to the doctor unless it's absolutely necessary. A neurologist said I was epileptic after I told him I get dizzy and sometimes pass out after working out sometimes. I thought it was heat exhaustion, but he said it was me having seizures. It's also happened after dancing hard at a club or standing in the heat. Without doing any tests, he diagnosed me as being epileptic. The medications he gave me actually caused me to have seizures and sent me to the ER. After telling him this, he had me take another form of seizure meds. He never actually saw me after I got out of the ER. He left the second set of meds at the front desk w/no dosage instructions. The new meds caused me to have a very BAD rxn that kept me home from work for a day. He then said to go back on the first set of meds that caused me to go into seizures that sent me to the ER. Because of this, I am seeking a second opinion about being epileptic. My appt w/the second neurologist is this month.

I have heard of ladies being 5 and 6 months pregnant and not knowing it.

Wouldn't they have to be pretty large women?

If I had sex 5 months ago and have been having normal periods and not gaining weight, and also had a negative HPT 4 months ago would it be safe to say I am not pregnant?
