Almost 3 weeks ago I hurt my knee running. One doctor I saw told me it was a bone bruise and one told me that it was prepatellar bursitis, but I saw somebody in sports medicine last week who told me that what I was describing sounded like a meniscal tear. I had an MRI to confirm and the results indicate medial meniscal intrasubstance degeneration which may or may not be a tear.
It's quite painful when I walk, it pops, and the joint line is very tender. What are my options in terms of treating this? I'm in my 20s in case that makes a difference. I assume the basic scenario is surgery or conservative tx. I'm terrified of both the cost and the prospect of even minor surgery but this injury is making me quite miserable.

I recently have had trouble sleeping at night. I find it really hard to stay asleep for more then 3 hours. After this it's almost impossible for me to fall back asleep. Is there any advice on falling back asleep or just being able to longer without taking any sleeping pills or medicine? Also I do eventually get fall asleep after fours hours or so later but is terribly inconvenient for me. Is there a way to fall back asleep about 30 minutes after I wake up again.
Additional Info: I usually sleep in a quiet room without a lot of light (except my computer).

As I believe as do many others it was an experiment that went out of control and spread. It is a miricle that I haven't contracted HIV as I have shared needles in the eighties and had sex with my husband (who died of AIDS in 1989). I telephoned the Terence Higgins Trust to see if they wanted to do tests on me to find out if I had something in my body that would not let the virus in. They weren't interested.

His endoscopy has shown GEjunction is lax and haitus hernia. Liver tests OK. CT scan Ok. Cannot eat even 10% of normal diet without vomiting. Stomach burn and sometimes stamach pain follows vomiting

Mr. GorgeousFluffpot, having overdone the turkey and christmas pudding and mince pies, is wondering about having a colonic irrigation. He read about this in a magazine and apparently it is supposed to make you feel better, but he is worried about someone putting a tube up his pert little fluffy botty. How far do they put the tube in? Does it really work? And will Mr.GorgeousFluffpot be able to walk properly afterwards?

whenever i'm sexin wt somebody - i can only gets stimulation in my vagina if i got clitoris stimulation at the same time. how i can get just vagina stimulation durin sex? is this normal? or maybe it somethin he doin wrong as to why i can't get off unless clitoris is played wit too. this is serious matter!!

my face has never been very clear, i have suffered from blemishes and pimples for a long time. i have used all kinds of facial scrubs and blemish removing creams and acids, and they did work for a while. now i've passed puberty too and the acne seems to be calming down (touch wood!). quite a few of the blemishes have also gone but now i've got these light patchy areas on my right cheek.
my right cheek suffered the most acne, and i'm afraid that the products i used before are now having their long-term side effects on my skin. the patches are not so noticeable in some kinds of light, and they show up even more when i'm worried or scared. does anyone know what i can do? are these patches permenant? i haven't used any kind of anti-acne cream after i saw these patches. a doctor did give me an antibacterial medicine that i apply on my face every night- clindamycin phosphate lotion. is it possible that my skin is allergic to phosphate compounds?

I've always brushed my teeth and my tongue regularly, but recently i've some white stuff on my tongue (the further back the more there is) I painstakenly brush this off every morning as i'm very conscious about oral hygiene. Alot of it comes off, but never all of it. I even leave tootpaste on my tongue when i've finished. I've also bought all sorts of breath sprays but nothings worked. Any ideas as to how to get rid of it??
