I have had my sleep schedule all haywired before the longest I have gone is about 26 hours then I passed out. Sleep is imperative for the regeneration of the body and the temporal lobe in the brain.
I think the record is about 11 days the person was hallucinating and very erratic. Without sleep the body shuts down and so does the brain your speech becomes incoherent you may start to hallucinate after about 3 days. very bad for you I don't suggest you try it.

It really depends on the person, and how much sleep they have had in the previous days. Sleep is absolutely necessary for people. I hope for your sake you are not suffering from insomnia....it is a popular subject of sit-com jokes, etc but it is hell to have. Remember that one of the most effective ways of "breaking" a prisoner of war is sleep deprivation.........

I think the longest a person has gone is 11 days but that is very rare. I think your body starts to shut down when you are extremely deprived.
