And its only when you listen to music? You possibly may have an earache because of an ear infection. I would advise you to go to the doctors and get it looked at if it persists.

this sounds strange but do you over clean your ears!!
I get this and especially when the phone rings my ear rattles, if that makes sense, and hurts like b'stard!
I went to my doctors and asked how many times do i use a cotton bud, as i have NO wax in my ear and looks like i clean it with scourer ANSWER: twice a day!

Painfull music, or you may have a perforated ear drum, get it checked out.
