Theres a specific word for it but I'm one of those people whose metabolism is lightning fast and its ridiculous because I don't want to look like a stick anymore because i hate getting compliments on how ridiculously skinny I am. I've tried binge eating but that doesnt work, and basically overloading on carbs and protein doesn't work either. Is there anything I could take to slow down my metabolism? My doctor doesn't believe that I have anything wrong with my thyroid...otherwise if there was he would give me a prescription to a drug that slows down your metabolism...in which I need...but is there ANYTHING I can do to help me gain weight because I've lost hope

right where the joint is at on my pinky finger I used to have a callus from writting but later it went away and it turned into extra skin but its sensitive. If i touch it a little it starts irritating and especially when I am writing an essay or something in class the skin turns red and irritates me and causes discomfort.
What can I do to remove this extra skin?

My question is...

My mom just said that she found a hard lump in her breast. She thinks it may be cancer and is going to the doctor tomorrow, but what's weird is she said there was a big bruise there about a week ago, but she doesn't know where it came from? Don't tell me she should go to the Dr. because she is. But what do you think?

is it crazy that I do not enjoy my dad's company as much as i used to? i'm not sure if I'm changing, or he's changing, or we're both changing, but I feel like our relationship is not the same as it used to be.

he is getting older and last year he was in an accident and sadly broke his leg. he had to have surgery and fortunately he was able to walk again, but every now and then he does complain about his leg hurting a bit. is it possible for a person to change after surgery?

i wouldn't say he and i ever had the closest dad/daughter relationship, but now he seems to complain alot about stuff (even the tiniest of things). he's very impatient and kind of a downer. i will try and be his little miss sunshine and bring up positive things, but the positive energy sometimes doesn't last.

what can i do to make him more happy and positive and try to eliminate his impatientness and short fuse?

I have Patellar Tendinitis in my left knee. I can bend my knee but when I straighten it, I can hear lots of cracking. This especially happens when I kneel and stand, and even when I lay down and move my knee. I can't sit in one position more then 10 minutes because I begin to loose feeling in my left leg. Ive seen an orthopedic doctor several times but nothing has helped, not even knee braces or physical therapy. Anyone have any suggestions on getting rid of the cracking? It hurts and makes me feel like an old lady when I'm only 17.

i'm a 17 year old male, with huge amounts of white hair that is noticable visible when it contrasts to my black hair which is why i keep my hair very short most of the time to reduce their appearance. I guess theres no permanent solution to white hair besides dying them, but recently i've noticed that the hair on the front portion of my skull is beginning to thin out A LOT ... and might start falling out soon.

Hair loss is very popular in my family, and my dad is bald from the front for many years, but i'm only 17. Is thre any way to thicken the hair?

I have recently made the decision to shave my pubic hair. Its great but I have some problems. Shaving just isn't doing the job well enough. I didn't use a cheap razor either. I shave with the grain but just do not get close enough and have irritating stubble.

Ok now for my actual question. I see that people have used Veet. I want to try this but heard that it can really bother the sensitive area. I also heard that if you leave it on too long its possible to get chemical burns! I don't think I will go with waxing, and I really want to try a cream. What is the best cream to use for my pubic hair, is it safe, and about how long will it last?

my hands have red, blotchy spots on them plus they kinda burn right now. I'm not sure what the cause of it is. I have extremely dry (hand) skin and I usually put on hand cream every night, but I am in another state right now without my hand cream and haven't been putting anything on them for three nights now. Am I allergic to something like handsoap? or is it just the cold weather here?

About 4 years ago I was 14 years old, I was druged and raped. During the 3 months when I didn't know I was pregant, I was in a abusive relationship, and was going through alot of stress and depression. Then when I found out I was pregant, I realize that I had to tell my parents this which was the hardest thing on the planet and my mother made me have the abortion because she made it seem like I was a bad f-ed up daughter, but i had a choice, to have the child and get kicked out of the house or have the abortion and still have a place to live. So i did the abortion. Now four years later, I'm still deeply depressed, i have surreal childhood memories of what she was going to be like and its killing me. I'm so scared to be in a relationship. I have tried many commiting suicide. I really neeed help? What can I do? Please?
