I have Patellar Tendinitis in my left knee. I can bend my knee but when I straighten it, I can hear lots of cracking. This especially happens when I kneel and stand, and even when I lay down and move my knee. I can't sit in one position more then 10 minutes because I begin to loose feeling in my left leg. Ive seen an orthopedic doctor several times but nothing has helped, not even knee braces or physical therapy. Anyone have any suggestions on getting rid of the cracking? It hurts and makes me feel like an old lady when I'm only 17.

Numbness and a painful cracking is not associated with patellar tendonitis. Tendonitis typically hurts more with activity and not with resting. Cracking itself, does not necessarily imply something is wrong, but if it is painful, it should be evaluated further for a meniscal tear or problems with the patellar femoral joint. Sounds like its time for further testing or a second opinion.

I'm assuming that this is a professional diagnosis of your problem since you say you've seen an orthopedic doctor.
My suggestion is what I might term "bad" homeopathy as seeing a homeopath for a full consultation likely would be more effective.
However, you can try a remedy called Ruta Graveolens. You can get this from health stores, advanced pharmacies or if you are in the UK or a major N. American city a homeopathic pharmacy.
Optimally get a 200C potency and take 1 tablet 3X a day - AM, Noonish, PM. for 5 days take 2 days off and repeat.

If your leg goes numb something is hitting a nerve somewhere- certain fragments move- some good-some bad.
