First of all, if you think you had a miscarraige, you should probably be going to the doctor. Secondly, if the home pregnancy test is still positive, I would say you are likely still pregnant. And a doctor could confirm this for you. However, if you are trying to avoid the doctor, get another Home Pregnancy test and take it in another week. If the results are still positive, you are probably pregnant. In which case, you MUST make a doctors appointment to ensure a healthy pregnancy. Hope this helps.

What made you think you had a miscarriage? Bleeding? When I was pregnant I bled extremely bad one night, so bad it sounded like I was peeing when I sat on the toilet, but it was just that much blood running out of me. I went to the E.R. and everything was okay.. the nurse even told me the same thing happenned to her, but I never got an explanation as to what the bleeding was for. The hormones may still be in your body if you did have a miscarriage, but the doc should probably do some tests to be sure.

you should go to a doctor if you had a miscarrage the hormones in your blood could still produce a positive test result but you really need to be checked there could be leftovers for lack of a better term that the doctor may need to remove so it doesnt cause infection

a womans body produces a certain hormone when she is pregnant that is what a pregnancy test detects, your body will still have this hormone even if you had a miscarriage within the last few days or so. the only way to be sure is to go to the doc

You didn't mention why you thought you'd miscarried, how long ago that was, or how far along you were. I'm assuming you're in your first trimester and had bleeding and cramping. First, you should check with your doctor to determine if you have actually miscarried. He or she will want to be sure you don't have another problem causing your symptoms, such as an ectopic pregnancy. If you have miscarried, he or she will want to evaluate you to assure you have completely miscarried. In addition, he or she will want to check your hormone level to be sure it continues to go down to at least near zero (the hormone level takes a while to drop). Of course, you'll want to speak with him or her about birth control, or about attempting another pregnancy. I hope all goes well for you.

If the test was positive, then you may not of miscarried. It is possible that it was just the baby implanting into your uterus, depending on the amount of blood you lost. If it was a lot of blood, you may of lost the baby and the hcg is just still showing up on the test. I would advice calling the doctor to be sure!

It means you have the pregnancy hormone in your blood still. It could take a while for it to empty. See a doctor to make sure you don't get an infection.
