Birth control only protects you from one thing and that is getting pregnant and even that isn't foolproof. There is no birth control that provides 100 per cent protection.

So, why should you use a condom? Because birth control doesn't protect you from STDs. In this day and age you should probably be more concerned about getting something like HIV than getting pregnant.

Absolutly! One reason is that birth control is NOT 100 percent and the other is diseases. You are not protected from diseases by just being on birth control. Every man I know says the condom feels horrible but you need the think about how you would feel if you get pregnant. Use both so you do not have to worry about this. Also know that a condom is not 100 percent either but the risks are miminal. Good Luck!

I don't now, but I did before I was married. I've taken birth control for years for medical reasons so to take it to prevent pregnancy just happened to work in my favor. Once I was in a monogamous relationship, we stopped using condoms because we both knew we were clean(we'd been tested within the last year) and I have medical issues which will probably make conception difficult, so we don't worry much.
If I am taking an antibiotic, though, we do use a backup method.

The Pill is wonderfully effective in preventing pregnancy but has ZERO effect on the transmission of STDs. So, yes, you should still have your partner wear a condom until you've established a mutually monogamous relationship and you've both been screened for STDs. At that point, it becomes a trust issue.

Unless you're sure of your partner, yes, wear a condom. Birth control doesn't protect against STD's.

A condom is the only protection against sexually transmitted diseases so I'd say yes. Also, use the other birth control just for that, birth control. Its better to be safe and healthy than sorry with disease.

That depends if you are in a relationship with this person and you do not fear STD's. Condoms are there to protect you from getting preg. They do not totally prevent you from getting STD's.
Wearing a condom can be nice when it comes to the clean up and if you want the extra protection, then one should be worn.

No.

Reasons:
1) I take the pill as it is directed, and it is 99% effected. Meaning, having sex 1-3 times a week is going to be safe.

2) Unless I'm on a placebo week, I feel protected. During the placebo week I do ask for no sex or a condom.

3) As I mentioned before, I take it as I should. I follow directions to the T.

4) I'm married. We were both tested before marriage, and we are commited to each other. We were both virgins. I should mention that we are tested twice a year along with other blood tests.

yes because birth control only prevents pregnancy and its not 100% effective so there is a very slight chance she can still get pregnant. and only a condom properly used is your only protection from stds

Definitely, for the safety of both partners from spreading an STD or yeast infection.
