Theres a specific word for it but I'm one of those people whose metabolism is lightning fast and its ridiculous because I don't want to look like a stick anymore because i hate getting compliments on how ridiculously skinny I am. I've tried binge eating but that doesnt work, and basically overloading on carbs and protein doesn't work either. Is there anything I could take to slow down my metabolism? My doctor doesn't believe that I have anything wrong with my thyroid...otherwise if there was he would give me a prescription to a drug that slows down your metabolism...in which I need...but is there ANYTHING I can do to help me gain weight because I've lost hope

Spend a couple of weeks with me and eat exactly what I do...because Lord knows I gain too easily...

Seriously though, try those ensure drinks--healthy for you and I hear they put on the weight. Good luck to you!

Weight training (minimum 1 hr.) daily. Don't overdue cardio. Maybe 5 min. before and after workout at most just for warmup and warmdown. Load up on a high protein meal 1 hr before and after workout. Without using steriods, you may see an increase by going to the GNC store and buying Creatin products; however, don't go overboard on products until you've tried the exercise and high protein and calorie diet first.

Worked for me. Don't give up!

I was the same way, but trust me, your metabolism will slow down as you get older. You will start gaining weight eventually, just go with the flow. It won't be long before you will be needing to lose weight.

You can try "weight gainer" protein shakes. Also, work out (not so much cardio but lifting weights) will help you bulk up. And eat eat eat!

eat...eat....eat....dont wait till you are hungry before eating. spread out your meals... 8 small meals a day is much, much better than 3 big ones...and believe me vitamin B helps.
cut down on energy sapping activities....get more sleep.

you basically have to eat a lot more calories than you burn off.
that doesnt mean burning less calories, it means burning MORE (by exercising and working out) and eating more.
