I just started lexapro a few days ago. I started taking it at night, expecting it to make me drowsy, but it does the opposite. It's like having a few shots of espresso, get very energized and can't sleep at night for more than a few hours. I also get this feeling that blood is rushing to my head, it's a tingling sensation. I also noticed that sometimes my vision is blurred but it goes away in minutes, after i get out of bed. I would start taking it in the morning but I don't want my vision to be blurred while driving, so I figure night time is the best time to take it so that most of the side effects wear off by the time I have to get up. I also have dry mouth sometimes. IAnyone else having these side effects?
One good side effect that I like about lexapro is that it's helping me to not crave chocolate and other sweets. In fact some foods even taste bad now. Which I like, because I gained a lot of weight while I was on Paxil and it took a long time and a lot of hard work to get it off

I have just read an american article. It says that person who smokes remains child till the end. Maybe this person doesn`t feel self-confident or thinks that smoking helps to communicate. What do you think about it?

My daughter is 2.5 years old and has recently become afraid of the dark. And it is not just at my house, but all of our relatives homes too. I try to reassure her, but I myself (at age 25) am still afraid of the dark. I have been ever since I can remember. I would hear and see aweful things. My daughters problem is now extending over to general fear. Now even if the light is on she will not enter or walk near certain places. She starts hyperventalating and screaming if I try to bring her near a place she doesn't want to be. She is really starting to scare me and I don't know what to do. She won't even sleep in her own room...she wakes up every night crying even though I leave a night light for her. I feel helpless because I can't even help myself with this problem. What can I do?

I'm a 15 1/2 year old girl and i'm 5'7" and not over or underweight. I measured my armspan and it's 5'8 1/2" (you know that fact about armspan being the same as your height) well, does this mean i'm going to grow another inch and a half or do i just have long arms?

Does anyone know how I could go about raising money for our daughter's surgery in about two weeks? We need to raise money for our hotel, food, gas, car repairs to get there and other expenses. I am running out of time and I do not know what to do.

My mom is a drug addict who hates me.
My father is a dead-beat who has contacted me in months.
The rest of my family might charge me to talk to them...they are so money hungry that even when I try to talk to the older ones the conversation becomes all about them
I have no friends
My boyfriend is dead.
I failing classes in skool (college sophomore) and in debt up to my neck (well only about a thousand or so cuz of books)
My life is just F%#@$# up.
And God really doesn't care.

Is there an antidepressant that is not addictive, and that does not need to be taken for the rest of someones life? I have a fear of taking these for depression because I do not want to be on pills for the rest of my life, but I'm getting to the point where I have tried everything else unsuccessfully.
