No it does not. Just because alcohol is a "depressant" doesn't mean it chemically makes your depression worse or interfere with antidepressants. A depressant drug is only labeled so because it generally has a "slowing down" effect on the body, like alcohol numbs the senses, slows reaction time, hence, a depressant. Antidepressants effect chemicals in your brain that alcohol has nothing to do with. The only danger of drinking with certain antidepressants is some can make you really really drowsy or could do liver damage, but does not cancel the effects of the drug itself.

LOX in the air..
Geah, we're at the airport out Dblock
From the block where everybody air-forced-out
With a new white T.U.fresh
Nothin' phony with us
Make the money, get the mansion, bring the homies with us

Chorus & Part 1
Don't be fooled
By the rocks that I got
I'm still (I'm still)
Jenny from the block
Used to have a little (Now I Have a lot)
No matter where I go (I know where I came from)
(Jenny from the Bronx)

Alcohol is a depressant so while the medication is trying to increase the endorphins the alcohol is lowering them. It can be a letal combination ending in death.

Yes, I would say so. Though if it's very moderate drinking and definitely not every day, I would have thought that would be ok, as long as there are no warnings not to on your medicine.

they do cancel out, but its never a good idea to mix things with antidepressants... they are hard enough alone...

Yes. When I drink, I notice my Zoloft isn't working as well (or at all).
