The Doctor said he has an infection. he has swollen lymph glands in his throat for over 3 weeks, rashes on his elbow, has headaches occassionally, has thrush but he has been on antibiotics for over 3 weeks. and sometimes has fever. took the antibody test at day 50 and it came out negative his urinalysis came out with protein in it but it had no growth due to his antibiotics. They are testing him for syphilis also what do you suggest. He is so scared it might be HIV. could it just be another STD because doctors are telling him not to worry about HIV

my mother is pushing 81, she drinks a bottle of gin per day and then falls down and breaks something, so far this year we have had a dislocated shoulder, a broken hip, and both wrists broken (at different times) She should be in a home, but that means I shall have to sell her house to pay for care and that should be my inheritance, what can I do?
In addition her short term memory is about 5 seconds

I'm a 31 year old man and I've recently committed myself to the Weight Watchers diet in a desperate effort to get down to a healthy weight again. I am approximately 3 and a half stone overweight. In order to encourage myself I have set myself a goal of achieving the loss in six months - so I have a target to work towards. Can you please tell me, is this a sensible goal? Is it achievable? Is it a healthy timespan? Is there anything I should be aware of? Also, if you don't think its a healthy or achievable amount to lose in six months, how much do you think I should look at losing in that timeframe?

I am 22 and healthy, as far as I am concerned. But, the craziest thing happened to me. I did some heavy work without wearing a bra (please, it was not sex!), and I noticed a little pain on one of my nipples. When I looked, I saw that it looked kinda cut and there was blood. The first time it happened, I just ignored it. But, it happened again on another day. It was on the same breast.
Is there any cause for alarm?

It's kinda embarrassing to talk about this with anybody.

Stupid question perhaps ...

Occasionally before going to the bathroom (#2), I weigh myself.
Then afterwards I weigh myself again.

If it's a #1, I lose weight, sometimes on #2 I lose weight, but occasionally the scales will give me a full pound MORE afterwards than before.

BTW, not anorexic, or crazy or suffering from any disorders (as far as I know), just curious how much my poop weighs :)

My sister has multiple sclerious, and had a large network of friends. Since she has been diagnosed with the above, her friends seem to have disappeared of the face of the earth. Why is it that us human beings, seem to be frightened of illnessess, that's envitable, that some of us will get sometimes in our lives? Serious reply's only please. Cheers.

I have been feeling quite tired over the last few weeks, along with this I have had a few spells of light-headedness (dizzyness), low sex drive and feeling rundown (no energy etc). Has anyone else had a problem with the symptoms? If so what did yu do?
Helpful answers only please.
Thanks.

I'm only qualified as a singer/musician and am barely making ends meet. I have such anxiety that the mere thought of actually going out and interview for minimum wage jobs, at 33 years old, really shames me. Though I do not look down or judge others for what they do for a living. I feel that as long as someone makes an honest living for themselves, that that is good enough. And, I truly respect people who are in my position and just somehow swallow their fear and go wait tables somewhere. Those jobs seem to always be available. The last serving job that I did, I had a massive panic attack...so humiliating in front of customers and my co workers. Please, if anyone has any advice on how I might be able to land a descent job paying descent money, I would so greatly appreciate it.I feel so lost. Like a lazy loser but I know that I'm trying the best that I can to leave my house without panicking and pretend to be normal during all of these dredful interviews coming my way. thanks -K
