It doesn't sound like diabetes, as you would be complaining of being incredibly thirsty and tired as well.

What to do next depends on whether you generally feel well or not... If you feel well, just hungry, then you are probably healthy (or pregnant). If you feel hot, flustered and your hair is falling out then you might have hyperthyroidism. If you are pale and easily tired, you might have some kind of anaemia or a vitamin/mineral deficiency (body makes you hungry in the hope you will eat the right thing and replace the mineral!). If you need lots of sleep and feel crap, you could have atypical depression.

If any of these sound like you, go to the doctor. If not, relax, but remember that just because you aren't putting on weight, doesn't mean the fat won't clog up your arteries, so keep to a balanced diet with plenty of fibre, which will help you feel full and soak up excess cholesterol.

sooooo not fair. I used to able to do that but my metabolism changed and i got fat. I am working hard to lose that weight now and wished that i had never got into the habit of eating whatever I like as its very hard to control my cravings now.

I would start eating healthily and be grateful that you are a slim person.
You still need to eat healthily tho as the amount of junk you seem to put into yourself can clog your arteries and cause you to be ill later on in life.

Undiagnosed Diabetes will cause your weight to fall off. However it does not make you hungry. It will make you extremely thirsty all the time and you will need to pee a lot. Go see your gp if this is the case and get tested.

This is the diabetes uk homepage. My 3 yr old is diabetic. Eating the way you do could trigger diabetes so stop eating so much rubbish and eat healthy.

You're an ectomorph, that's all.

There are three main body-types with three other "cross-overs":

Ectomorph
Ecto-mesomorph
Mesomorph
Endo-mesomorph
Endomorph

Ectomorphs find it difficult to put both fat and muscle mass on as they have a very fast metabolism. Eating healthily and frequently is a very good way to not only ensure you're getting a good range of nutrients, but will also ensure you're not burning your own muscle for fuel - not a good idea.

Aside from that, you're filling yourself up on foods that are very dense in calories but are full of sugar and saturated fats, and not a lot else. Try going for foods that are higher in fibre and non-refined carbs, lean proteins and healthy fats, and you should find you're not as hungry either.

As for diabetes, I'd say that isn't true, but continuing to eat the way you are is putting you at risk from diabetes and insulin-resistance.

I am the same, i can eat burgers, chocolate etc and i dont put on a single pound. There's nothing wrong, in fact it often means you're very healthy as your body is processing all the food quickly and effectively. If you're like me then you'll find one day you put on a stone overnight and then it stays at that level, i'm still 2 stone underweight and no matter what i do i cant put anymore on. I never sweat either, no matter how much i run or exercise i never get out of breath or sweat at all, it just means you have a great metabalism/cooling system!

No, if you had diabetes you would be more prone to putting ON weight, not the opposite.

Chances are you have a fast metabolism. Enjoy it while you can, but remember just because you are not putting on weight, doesn't mean all that junk isn't still cloggin up you arteries and destroying your teeth. Be careful.

I used to be like that ... you probably just have a fast metabolism. I don't think eating a lot in itself is a sign of diabetes although eating as unhealthily as you are can cause it -- so yes, see a doctor to be sure.

You could have a high metabolic rate -if this is how you have always been. If its recent, you could have developed an overactive thyroid, or intestinal worms!
Best go to the gp and get checked out. Its not serious, but its best to know whats causing it.

I don't know about the diabetis but you must have a high metabolic rate which means your body burns up fat quicker than you eat it. people don't realise this but you need to eat more and exercise to build up your metabolic rate. You can get a test for diabetes if you are worried about it.

properly, my mom and aunts have been like that. None of my cousins or I have been given it, however. it ought to by making use of intense thyroid production, or (infrequently, yet a threat) a parasite like a tapeworm. yet maximum possibly it is purely intense matabolism. it could decelerate as you age, in spite of the fact that it would possibly not. My grandma's did at 40, one aunt at 35, and my mom remains skinny at fifty six. do not envy us "fat women" using fact we've it confusing, too. only relish your cake mutually as another woman in the room drools.

NO, but some day your motabolism will catch up with you and you'll get fat. THEN you'll have diabetes (though your hearts probably not in good shape right now)
