Here's the deal...I'm a single mom and I work full time. I know that I have let things get out of control with my weight and now I'm ready to change. I've been able to lose weight pretty easily in the past, but I have a hard time sticking to anything for a long period of time. I really want to make a lifestyle change and not just get a quick weight loss. My main downfall seems to be drinking pop. I can cut that out pretty easily to start with, but it always creeps back. I guess I'm just wanting some suggestions on what other busy moms have done to lose the weight and keep it off. As of now, I'm counting calories, drinking lots more water and I'm getting back on the treadmill tonight!! Any suggestions on how to make this change stick this time? Thanks so much for your help.....

My wife is away somewhere in overseas for almost a month already without saying goodbye to any family and friends and we do not know her exact whereabouts.she did communicate once
saying she was fine and that she would be back once her novel was complete and registered.I'm scared of losing her to another man.the stress is killing me and i need to get back to work

Does anyone out there know that it often takes 6 months or more to get a pap smear result back in Ireland? In fact they seem to find it acceptable to wait 3 to 4 months! If you think this is as appalling as I do please contact Mary Harney's office and complain, asking that she immediately hire outside, trained professionals to do the job until they have enough trained professionals here!

I always have acne on my chin, but once in a while (during the last year or so) the pimples actually have this distinctly yellow crust on them (*different* from a whitehead or pus)... and when I pick off the crust another crust just forms immediately. Sorry, I know it's gross... but what is this?

My fiance never seems to break a sweat while working out and he lifts tons of weights. But when i work out i do 30 min of cardio (bike,eleptical,running) etc and i will start to break a sweat in about 5 min....is this normal? is it good to sweat while working out?

I have had what feels like "acid reflux", for the last two weeks. Everytime I eat something,my throat burns, my chest hurts, and no matter how many "Pepcid" pills, or TUMS I take, it happens almost everyday after I eat. Someitmes it even wakes me up at night. I hate going to the doctor for every little thing, but it's starting to get bothersome. Does anyone have any suggestions on what's happening? or how I may remedy it? Thanks!

I was wondering if anyone females or males thought this activity was gay or is a normal healthy sexual outlet. i just got my top left wisdom tooth removed, so far everything is still numb i just took an advil because im getting a headache. And i removed the gauze cause it aint bleeding nomore. I have been having lower abdominal pain on and off with some spotting for a few weeks now, my doctor has me scheduled for an ultrasound, but they can't get me in until next Wed (she thinks I may have an ovarian cyst) is there any type of blood work or other testing I should request in the mean time, to find out what's wrong, or is an ultrasound the only way? I take Zyrtec-D, Nasonex and Advair (250/50 once daily). I did take Singulair but stopped without any noticable changes to my allergies or peak flow/asthma. I also have an Albuterol Inhaler but haven't used it since I started taking Advair in 10/2004. I also get allergy shots and have been for over 2 years. I was told to continue getting allergy shots for 4-5 years. I've heard allergy shots also help asthma - any truth to that? If so, could one stop taking Advair to see if it is still necessary? Just curious......

This is a 3rd pregnancy. Under quite a bit of stress early on with hardly any weight gain. I park a distance away from my office and take the stairs instead of the elevator. No fast food. I cook fairly healthy for myself, my husband , and our 18mth old daughter. Drink Diet Rite instead of other sodas. Blood sugar levels are perfect. Suggestions for how to stay on track for the remainder of the pregnancy?

I've been having aching discomfort in the middle and left of my chest, occaisonal shortness of breath, more discomfort in the left shoulder, lower back and up to my neck on the left side. Most symptoms going on for a year +. Have had an ECG, chest x-ray, peak-flow test, blood tests etc and everything is ok. Reckon if I was having a heart attack or something serious, would have had it by now. Doctor says I could investigate further with echo-cardiogram but he's not keen based on current symptoms. It's literally a pain in the neck/chest/arm/back. Should I be worried? Am male, 34, non-smoker, cholesterol of 5.2, but not big on exercise.
