I donate blood regularly. My iron levels are sometimes low. What foods can I eat to boost them? I am a vegetarian. I know raisins are supposed to be a good source... what else? (I do not want to take supplements or vitamins if I don't have to.)

*Sigh* I am officially getting old. I am starting to see lines around my eyes and I am not thrilled about it.
:)

I have never really used much in the way of makeup or skin products, so I don't know much at all about this stuff.
I don't know the first thing about wrinkle prevention or fixing products, so I would like to know what you use and why. How effective is it?

Also, are preventative or wrinkle fixing products scams?

Thanks to all.
:)

I thought that all raw cane sugar wasn't vegan so have been avoiding it but I've just been reading the ingredients of tofutti's icecream which states that it's vegan and it has raw cane sugar in.

Does this mean I've been avoiding some foods which are actually vegan-friendly?

All you have to do is look at your own teeth to see that you are an omnivore. We have designed to both tear flesh and grind plant matter.

Studies have linked veganism to schizophrenia. Humans require animal protein to complete protein strands that are necessary for healthy cell growth and regeneration. Without the animal protein, how is it possible to form these healthy protein strands? Muscles and the brain are the first to suffer from no new formation of protein strands.

It is true that the average American consumes far too much meat. I believe about 3 servings of meat are what are considered to be what a human requires to be healthy, not 3 servings a day.

I'm serious. I know that you don't like how animals are raised on farms and abused, but do you have anything against me killing deer quickly with a bullet and thinning out their population so that they do not starve to death?

would you hunt to survive or try to stick to your diet? I am a meat eater and I would definetly not pay attention to my diet if i were a vegan in that situation.

Hi, I am 30 years old and I just decided to become a vegetarian a week ago. All my family members, friends and relatives are meat eaters. It kind of makes me feel being singled out every time I refuse their offer of food with meat in it. I only told my husband and daughter about my decision. I guess it would be hard to deal with when it comes to Christmas time because if I don't eat meat they would ask me why, and I am very light weight as it is now. They would be very concerned how this vegetarian diet would do to me. I had a thought that I was gonna tell them that I had had enought of meat already. But the true reason is I can't bear to see the animal being killed so cruelly by butchers. But I don't want to make me sound like a hero or make them feel guilty or have any discomfort when eating meat, so could anyone out there please give me an idea of how to explain the reason on giving up eating meat properly.as my husband still thinks I am not serious about it .

What's the best way to deconvert a vegetarian and get him acting normal again? For any former vegetarians out there, what finally made you go back to meat?

I've got a new acquantiance that will probably be asking me out to a vegetarian restaurant because he's a vegetarian. I want to know what allergies I need to fake in order to avoid it. I figure that if I say I'm allergic to eggs, soy, and all legumes that should nuke the possibility of having to go to one. Does that combination of allergies sound plausible and is it enough to rule out every dish at a typical vegetarian restaurant?

still be a vegetarian? This meat would be born without any capability of sentience, fear, sense of pain, etc. whatsoever, and would remain in a vegetative state for the entirety of its life.

Would you eat the healthier bits (like fish and the like) if this was the case?
