Some are made from soy and others are made with vital wheat gluten. Seitan tastes and feels nothing like it and neither does baked gluten.

I've been trying to make grilled tofu but I can't seem to marinate the tofu enough--the sauce lightly coats the outside, but the inside is just bland. Does anyone have any ideas on how to marinade tofu, what sauces to use, how long to, and how to prepare tofu? I like extra firm tofu if that helps. Thanks!

ok i've seen a dietician and i am eating a healthy, balanced vegetarian diet. time ago i used to eat meat, fish, chicken, eggs etc and since i have stopped it's like i constantly crave sugar. i eat cheese and drink milk but i'm not understanding this craving expecially for chocolate. (btw it's impossible if i am pregnant) if i don't eat chocolate or something sweet during the week i feel lethargic. i exercise and i don't have diabetes or anemia

I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian a little over a year. Over the past two years, my hair has been getting a little thin here and there. My grandma thinks it is because I'm a vegetarian, but I don't think so. How's your hair?

Ok, so I have posted on here some questions about my 9 yr old daughter becoming vegetarian and now it's my turn. I have basically cut out all meat but chicken and fish for our whole family since my daughter voiced her decision to no longer eat meat and I have found that cooking for her is easy with all the Morning Star and other meatless products out there. My dilemma is that now I wish to be vegetarian. I have quit eating meat 2 days ago and actually feel so much better. I don't really like the veggie meats out there and get sick of beans. I do eat eggs on my salads or a sandwich.

Now, how do I ensure I'm getting the protein I need. My daughter was easy because she loves the meatless meats.

Yesterday someone asked a similar question, some of the answers suggested organic milk. I found this article that was very interesting and I figured some of you vegetarians, and even vegans would find it interesting. Anyone who wishes to avoid large quantities of estrogen may want to read it also. (And all we read about is the high levels of estrogen in soy milk)

Let me know what you think of it. Does it change your opinion of milk?

This is a serious question and I really want some serious answers. In your absolute honest opinion, do you think they smell better on a vegetarian diet? I feel that mine do and even though there are days that I let more, especially after eating certain things like cabbage or broccoli.

Vegetarians are selfish.why do selfish bunch of people think that being vegetables is good dont you see you would destroying the meat farming industry if everybody started to become vegetables. Bunch of no hopers with attention grabbing personalities thats what you are in my opinion. Do you not think there are a variety of menatl disorders that can be attributed to this vegetarian lunacy? The current level of delinquency has grown in proportion to the rise in vegetarianism hasnt it?

I am not a vegetarian but I am gluten intolerant and allergic to wheat. If I were a vegetarian, what would you recommend eating since the staple of vegetarian/vegan diets seem to be mostly grains? This question is just for interest's sake...

If so, do you still cook meat for your husband or wife? Please help. My boyfriend is not a vegetarian, but I still want to cook for him. He always wants meat, though. Would it be wrong to cook meat for him if I am vegetarian? I don't like it, but I want to make him happy.

The EU will soon ratify a law that will ban poultry battery farms by 2013 because cooping chickens in a tiny space is inhumane and can spread disease like H5N1 Avian flu. With that in mind, do you believe that Pokeballs are equally as inhumane and apt for the spread pokemon-borne disease?

THIS IS NOT A HATE QUESTOIN. Just want to understand more. In the Bible they ate Lamb and Fish. (Why then should we not eat it??) The Asian population mainly eats seafood and outlives most other nationalities!! Protein is important for early womb brain development, muscle repair and other body functions. (Where do you get the protein??) I read a report from the BBC and from Harvard that said all protein can not be received from nuts, legumes etc. (What is a Vegan or Vegetarians take on Alcohol??)

I am a vegetarian right now, and my parents are pretty supportive of it. They buy me meat free stuff, like meatless hot dogs, veggie burgers, tofu, and other vegetarian food. I am very thankful for that, but I want to go vegan. My parents are not supportive of veganism at all. They think it’s bad for my health (since I’m only 13 and need my protein and stuff) and they also think it will be impossible to find food without milk or eggs. How do I convince my parents that veganism isn’t bad? What are things I can do to stay healthy? And where can I get vegan food?

xD

THANK YOU!!!!
