I would think that a vegan's foods would be shaped and referenced towards things that do not have faces, like carrots, onions, beans, and eggplants, instead vegetarians references are the same as omnivores foods such as tofu turkey, or veggie-burgers tofu-dogs. I see meat shaped vegetables as contrary to their food philosophy. Are vegans and vegetarians really into their life style choices all the way or not?

I looked at the website Goveg.com. Wow! is all i have to say. Let me just say, I am by no means trying to go vegetarian, but i would like animals i'm going to consume (eww it sound really gross) to be killed humanely and also for the other foods i eat to not be polluted with chemicals and pestisides. Are there any farms and crops that are like this??

You saw in the news. A slice of a zucchini appearing to spelling "GOD". Now we've heard of cheese with "Mary" and some bizarre things. They sold on eBay for thousands. Do you believe this stuff?

I do not understand why some monks eat meat. I have read different things online about it, but I would like to get your opinion on it also. If monks want to be at peace with all things, why would they not all choose vegetarianism.

I'm wondering why some people have given up eggs?

Health reasons?
Animal-related reasons (explain)?
Morals?

I, personally, have never found eggs morally wrong (which is the reason I became a vegetarian), so long as the chickens are local. I can understand why they can be disgusting for some people, but I just want further insight into things.

I have been vegetarian for about 9 months and I still have people asking why. I try to explain and they usually misinterpret what I try to say, and ask a lot of ridiculous questions. What do I tell them so they clearly understand?

A fish is a living being, has a central nervous system so it can feel pain just like a cow or chicken, yet, its ok for "vegetarians" to eat fish because they say its not, so someone please provide me with links, documentation something, anything that proves to me that fish is not a meat.

I am a vegetarian and unfortunately most of the desserts have egg. Maybe I will end out getting one with egg because I don't know another option.

I have never needed to bring a dessert before but on Saturday I should bring one. I can't prepare one well because fridge space and kitchen utilities are lacking here, as well as skill on my part. The place is about 45 minutes away so anything frozen would melt. What would you bring? And is there anything without egg that you can think of?

So I drink a protein shake everyday and take a calcium pill and a multivitamin, and my back has been killing me lately. Are there other nutrients I am not getting in my diet because I am a vegetarian? I havent done anything to strain my back, nor have I slept wrong but I cant deal with this pain! Im not a big fan of tylenol and other pain relievers, I just like to assess the pain I am in and wait it out. Please help

I haven't have Jello in many years becasue I found out that gelatin is made from extracting and boiling animal hides, skins, bones, and tissue after alkali or acid pretreatment. I'm not a vegetarian, I just don't like the thought of eating gelatin.
