When you look at a website such as Petakillsanimals, you also must look at you runs such a website and what their agenda may be.
The website peta kills animals is put out by the CCF. The CCF is a front group for big tobbacco, resturaunts, meat industry, and alcohol. The Center for Consumer Freedom is a nonprofit corporation run by lobbyist Richard Berman. Berman is known as a spin doctor. He misinforms, alters the truth and down right lies to get his message across.
This is the same man that went against the group, mothers against drunk driving(MADD) and wanted to lower the legal blood alcohol level. He goes against groups that are will impact the profits of his financial backers. The group denies the obestiy problem in the U.S. and is against Unions and a minimum wage for workers.
In Bermans own words his strategy is to shoot the messenger ... "we’ve got to attack their credibility as spokespersons"
Be careful what you read, not everything on the internet can be trusted to come from a credible source that does not have some sort of agenda behind it.
Where they may have euthanized some animals(which is sad), what is more sad is the people who dumped these animals is the first place. The life of an animal in a shelter is a tragic story. I personally am not against euthanasia of shelter animals. It is far more cruel to have these animals live years in a 4x8 run, only looked at when a bowl of food is thrown in.
"Some ... dogs are immediately placed in wonderful, permanent homes. But there are also troubling moral dilemmas surrounding some of the "gray area" dogs. If a dog bites a shelter worker, is it ethical to adopt him out to the general public? If a dog guards his food, can he be trusted in a family with children? And what about the dogs that never find homes -- is it more humane to sentence them to a lifetime in the shelter or to euthanize them?"(1)
If you want to get an insight in the lives of shelter animals, watch a documentary called "Shelter Dogs" which sometimes comes on HBO. Very informative and very sad. Gave me more insight into why shelter put animals to sleep. It is not always a black and white subject.

Despite what everyone is telling you yes they do kill animals. I used to be a HUGE supporter of PETA until I really started researching what they were doing. Ingrid Newkirk the founder of PETA actually does admit that they kill about 2/3 of the animals that they rescue from different raids. They say it is because they are better off dead and not suffering than to be alive and be suffering. The only reason that she finally admitted to this was because people wanted answers as to why they spent tons of money on a HUGE freezer, because why would an animal rights group need a freezer this size. Ingrid finally admitted that this freezer was for all the animals that they had to put down. The freezer is so large that it can fit thousands of animals in it. I agree with the fact that PETA loves animals and does not want them harmed however if you really spend a lot of time studying Ingrid N. you will find that a lot of what she has to say contradicts what she actually does. People who disagree with me can look it up I don't have the exact name of all the articles, books, or press conferences where she admitted everything but she did admit it all and it is in print and on film. If you can check out the Penn and Teller show Bullshit (they have it at BLOCKBUSTER) they actually did a show about animal rights and they also have the story about the freezer thing. Oh and by the way after seeing how much lying is being done by PETA I stopped supporting them.

The web site is an anti-peta site that uses all fictional information. The claims that PETA euthanized all these animals is not accurate in fact they do not even have their own veterinary facility to do so. PETA works with animal shelters, rescue groups, and veterianry clinics to support humane treatment and educate the public. They do this through open membership which allows anyone to become a member and unfortuantely that includes radical activists who conduct illegal acts and use PETA as an icon. As for the organization itself they do not support this type of activism approach. If these claims were factual the government would no longer allow them to be a operational non-profit organization and would shut them down. These web sites do not contain any factual proof or even reference who the information is distributed through. This information is normally found at the bottom of the web page but I have yet to see one that has a organization not affiliated with the meat or dairy industry.

Yes, PETA kills animals.
Peta came out and released ALL of one of our neighbors animals. Several head of cattle and horses on the roads, chickens and ducks all over the place, and also broke into her house and released her animals (i.e. fish, snakes, and her parakeet)!
Unfortunately most of the small animals had to be put down after being run over by PETA vehicles and a few of the calves had to be put down after being hit by other vehicles!
After being confronted by the sheriff PETA said that they were doing the animals a favor by releasing them into their natural habitat!
These people have screwed ideas and morals.

Not abuse, but definitely kill. PETA was once an honourable and respected organisation until Newkirk got schizophrenia.

Vegetarian*
Paris Hilton got rid of her dog, because it got "too big". She's tragic.
I am not aware of PeTA killing animals, I disagree with many things that they do. They do not speak on behalf of vegetarians everywhere. If they do kill animals, they have probably euthanized cats/dogs that were being abused and close to death, or that they had liberated from an abusive/kill shelter. Sometimes there are not enough homes to love and care for animals.
You'll also find that most of the people that spread rumours about PeTA, could care less about Animal Rights, or even welfare, and are most likely not even vegetarian.
I like that you don't just accept the website as truth, there are so many lies out there. Make up your own mind, and congratulations on being vegetarian. The world needs more young veggies.

I live just across the water from Norfolk (home to PETA). Yes, they are known in our area for killing dogs and cats and dumping their bodies in dumpsters. They have been known to go to shelters, ADOPT puppies and kittens, euthanize them, then dispose of their bodies in dumpsters. I in no way shape or form support these two faced idiots.

yes the web site is correct, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. they also kill all those animals for their videos that show people slaughtering animals in all those "horrible" ways, it's all staged by peta so that people will send them money to "save" these poor animals

It is well known that PETA euthanizes thousands of unadoptable animals every year. It saves them money by not having to feed them....if you don't believe me YOU DO YOUR RESEARCH!
