why does your friend need a title for what he or she eats? if they want to eat crab why cant they just eat it and give up the title, I mean I don't think the veggie police really exist and if they do I'm sure they have much bigger crimes to deal with then someone who eats crab from time to time.

Shrimp and fish are animals, right? And you know that vegetarians do not eat the flesh of animals, right? So by logical extension, vegetarians do not eat sea creatures. A quick Y!A search would have saved you having to ask this question for what feels like the zillionth time.

Nope. If you eat the flesh of ANY animal--and this includes sea creatures--you are NOT a vegetarian. And I wish people who eat fish would stop calling themselves vegetarians because it confuses people!

Just say you don't eat any meat except for fish.

there is strict and lacto that is what I know. I know if you are vegetarian strict no animal and animal product at all but the other one are the one who do consume milk. Eating sea food that is not consider as a vegetarian. Vegetarians don't eat the flesh of any animals be they mammals, birds or fish. And regarding that the vegetarian people have to cook by themselves that is not true. It has to be just the place or people they prepare for them are trust worth or have much knowledge of what can be included or not in their meal.

No. He is eating animals and vegetarians don't eat animals.

Some people are confused about that and say otherwise, but they are wrong.

Other people who eat animals and call themselves vegetarian might say he is vegetarian, but real vegetarians who don't eat animals would say he is not.

No. That is not a vegetarian. Vegetarians don't consume any flesh. (Meat and Seafood, both). The type of diet you're describing is that of a Pescetarian. (some people call them pesco-vegetarians. Mostly, just pescetarians though). These type of people do not eat poultry, fowl, or red meat. They do however consume seafood and other fish products.

There are different types of vegetarians. I don't eat any meat, but I do eat seafood, and still consider myself vegetarian. They aren't vegan, and chances are they still eat both dairy and eggs as well. I think vegetarianism should be your own idea about animal treatment and well-being, and doesn't have to fit exact standards.

Nah, they aren't vegetarian.

A vegetarian is someone who doesn't eat meat. No ifs or buts. There is no meat. And that does include seafood.

And there is no such thing as a fishy-vegetarian (sorry but that made me giggle)
