Pros:
Healthier/better blood lipid levels
Usually results in a decrease in calorie consumption, so can initiate some weight loss
increased fiber intake usually regulates bowels pretty efficiently

Cons:
Hard to eat out if not it a large metro city
Cooking dry beans and peas on an almost-daily basis takes awhile (use pressure cooker or crockpot to lessen your time in teh kitchen)
You must carefully monitor what you eat so that you get enough nutrients (complete proteins, as well as iron, calcium, and other nutrients)

well, you see, eating only vegetables and fruit will clean your body if you only do it for a while, but the truth is that the human body is designed for eating meat as well as vegetables and meat contains many of the substances you need to function properly...I wouldn't worry about moral issues of killing animals: in civilised countries, the animals that can be eaten are only raised for this purpose. Therefor, if people stopped eating meat, millions of animals wouldn't even be born anymore, they might even become endangered in some countries. I mean, ok, cows would still be raised for milk and chickens for eggs, but pigs are only mainly raised for their meat. Furthermore, plants are alive too, just as well as animals...

There are NO pros. Being a vegetarian will kill you.

Eat meat. Who cares if some feeling-less pigs die? I want my meat!
