Me too! I've always loved animals but I feel closer to them since becoming vegetarian & am able to appreciate them more. We live with several companion animals, mostly rescues, & they really enrich our lives.
The writer Franz Kafka was supposedly overheard saying to the fish @ a public aquarium: "I can look at you in peace, now that I no longer eat you."

Girl, let me tell you. My husband has dogs, cats, horses, cows, emu's, and ostrich's on our ranch. I love animals and am also a vegetarian.
