You would have to eat a lot or peanuts and rice to get a good amount of protein from just those. I'm stationed in Iraq right now and we really don't have a lot to choose from when it comes to eating healthy. I love going to the gym and try my best to eat right. Tuna is a great source of protein 25 grams in 3 oz. Goes good on just about anything. Also here is a web sit with a ton of other foods that are high in protein. As far as the vitamins. There great but try eating veggies and meats. Nothing beats the real thing.

No, that's not near enough protein. I think there are some powdered protein drink things you can buy that you might mix with other foods you eat, like soup, bread, etc. Also, if you're trying to be healthy, don't use the Centrum or any other vitamin that contains 2 mg. of Copper. It's way too much and recent research has shown that it is involved in the development of Alzheimer's. You may have to go to a health food store to find one without it.

There are lots of different beans that taste different from each other; there may be some of them you will like.
Soy products come in so many different forms and flavors that aren't anything alike. Some tofu doesn't even have any real flavor, it just tastes like whatever you cook it with.
As long as the rest of your diet is well balanced, you don't really have to eat legumes in every meal; but it's a good idea to eat them at least some of the time.
My wife is a Registered Dietitian and she stresses getting your nutrients from food sources instead of vitamin pills. There shouldn't be any real need to take them unless you have a really bad diet or have some kind of recognized vitamin deficiency.
I guess people are different, but I feel the most "satisfied" when I center my diet with legumes and grains.

Try Whey Protein Powder in drinks or sprinkle it on your rice or whatever you are eating. Also the grain quinoa is super high in protein. Have you ever tried tempeh or textured protein? Yes, you should also take some type of multi-vitamin, but make sure you choose one that's made specifically for people who don't get enough protein. What you really need is balance between protein, carbs and fat. Here's a great article that shows you the amounts of protein in certain items, and what you would need to get the right amount.

Yes, peanuts give protein, but a multi-vitamin won't.
My oh my, beans and tofu are the primary source of protein for most vegans. Eating peanuts alone will never give you all the protein you need.
So I suggest, apart from eating nuts, that you eat other types of grain as well, which includes barley, millet and oats.
And stock up on gluten as well as other meat substitutes (some meat substitutes do not taste like tofu, so your tastebuds should be fine).

I know that tofu can be flavored in many different ways. There are meat substitutes if that's what your looking for. I believe that the majority of them are made out of soy and other ingredients but if I were you I would look at the ingredients first or contact the company. Morning Star has a vegetarian line and now a vegan line.

Eat more broccoli, spinach, Cale, and dark green veggies. Nuts are also a very good source of protein. Make a conscience effort to include a at least 1 food item that is high in protein with each meal and definitely take your multivitamin supplements.

Raw foodists do not eat any of those things and stay quite healthy. All food has protein; even a carrot has 2 grams and a banana has 3-4 grams.
