Great question, I am giving you a recipe for a vegan BBQ burger. I have made these and they are so good, and your guests will love them.

Vegetarian Black Bean Burgers with Cornmeal

2 15 ounce cans black beans, rinsed and drained
1/2 cup whole wheat or all-purpose flour
1/4 cup yellow cornmeal
1/2 cup salsa
2 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp garlic salt
hamburger buns

Place beans in food processor; process until fairly smooth. Add flour, cornmeal, salsa, cumin and garlic salt. Process until well combined.
Spoon mixture into 6 balls on a large plate and refrigerate at least 1 hour or up to 4 hours before cooking.

Heat barbecue grill or ridged grill pan over medium heat. Coat grill or pan lightly with oil. Form each ball into a 4-inch patty about 1/2-inch thick. Place the patties on the grill or in pan and cook until browned and heated through, 4 to 5 minutes per side.

Serve on hamburger buns with your favorite toppings.

Good Luck and Good BBQ'in

A couple of substitutions and this is great.

California grilled veggie sandwich

INGREDIENTS
1/4 cup mayonnaise
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/8 cup olive oil
1 cup sliced red bell peppers
1 small zucchini, sliced
1 red onion, sliced
1 small yellow squash, sliced
2 (4-x6-inch) focaccia bread pieces, split horizontally
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
DIRECTIONS
In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, minced garlic, and lemon juice. Set aside in the refrigerator.
Preheat the grill for high heat.
Brush vegetables with olive oil on each side. Brush grate with oil. Place bell peppers and zucchini closest to the middle of the grill, and set onion and squash pieces around them. Cook for about 3 minutes, turn, and cook for another 3 minutes. The peppers may take a bit longer. Remove from grill, and set aside.
Spread some of the mayonnaise mixture on the cut sides of the bread, and sprinkle each one with feta cheese. Place on the grill cheese side up, and cover with lid for 2 to 3 minutes. This will warm the bread, and slightly melt the cheese. Watch carefully so the bottoms don't burn. Remove from grill, and layer with the vegetables. Enjoy as open faced grilled sandwiches.

I am not a vegetarian, but I love this. Grilled salad.

Get Romaine lettuce and cut it lenghtwise. Brush with olive oil. Sprinkle with galric powder, salt & pepper. Put face down on a HOT grill for about 4 minutes. Refrigerate for about an hour. Cut and serve with parm cheese, tomatoes, and croutons. REALLY good!!

Instead of burgers - grill up portabella mushrooms and top with soy cheese or smoked Gouda and fresh tomato slices and avocados. Put on a toasted sesame seed bun. YUM!

Instead of hot dogs - Tofu brats which you can get at most health food stores.

Instead of steak ke bobs do veggies ke bobs - mushrooms, onions, peppers, corn on the cob (break it into pieces).

Have fun!

OMG ~ My favorite recipe is so simple! Take Italian Zucchini and slice it thin. Marinate it in your favorite Italian Dressing and Grill it! It is so good you will eat it and want more!

I always take this (marinated zucc) to BBQ's and it is always a hit!

try grilling eggplant. make sure to sprinkle with salt and let it sit for a bit to pull out the moisture, then simply rinse really quickly to get the salt off.

or try grill portabela mushrooms and use them in a sandwich or toss with a marinade.

Sure...lots of them...

Here are some easy ones....

1) Roasted Corn Salsa...roast sweet corn cobs.....get the roasted corn off the cob....and add in some red onion, tomatoes, jalapenos, salt cumin, lime juice n cilantro n mix

2) Veg Shish-Kabobs....get some good fresh firm veggies...if u r going to roast veggies...u got to get them fresh....the way I make is ...mix some yogurt with curry powder, salt, lime juice and let it marinade for a couple of mins...n then skewer them...for veggies i use...all types of peppers, cauliflower, tomatoes, onions n boiled potatoes...

3) Roasted veggies with pasta...u cud just grill veggies like..peppers, asparagus, onions, toamtoes and then just toss them with hot boiled spagattei along with some oilve, salt n pepper, chilli flakes n basil

4) Fresh fruits like pineapples, peaches, melons taste great when grilled too...after they are grilled they will get caramalised n u cud top them off with some honey or chocolate syrup...yum-o!
