I am interested in becoming a veg for spiritual purposes, but meat is a moderate staple and source of protien and fat. Any time I've tried cold-turkey (no pun intended) to stop eating meat, I've gotten very hungry and craved protein, even though I don't eat a whole lot of meat. Anyone have a suggestion?

I want to give a vegetarian diet a trial run. Can anyone recommend some recipies for me? I want to be sure to get all the proper nutrients as well, and I'm not familiar with what to replace meat with to get the same.

because it's already dead, so it wouldn't hurt anything to eat it, right? Maybe you don't like meat, but if you did, then there'd be nothing wrong with eating roadkill, don't you think?

Hi, um, I'm 13 and I've been a vegetarian for... about 6 months, after reading, Fast Food Nation. It was so sad, that book made me cry and turned me into a vegetarian. My mom was all for it when it first began, but now she would rather me eat meat. She says I dont have a balanced diet anymore. Does anyone have any recipe ideas, cook books, and exspecially resturants (we go out alot) that serve vegetarian meals or something?

Some vegans recently released a panda bear from the zoo and it was killed with in hours after being let loose. It was struck by a car on a public road.

These vegans claimed they were setting the animal free. Now this rare panda bear is dead because of their actions.

How can we protect ourselves from these militant vegans?
