You actually need very little protein in your diet. About one tablespoon of peanut butter or one glass of 2% milk per day is the entire recommended daily allowance. All those meat eaters don't realize they're eating about ten times the protein they actually need. The excess can cause kidney stones and in women can even leech the calcium from the bones.
However, if you're getting bored with the PB&J's remember that when certain legumes such as beans and lentils are combined with rice, they convert to protein. Rice and beans are the staple of a successful, low calorie, low fat vegetarian diet. And of course, there is soy protein. A garden burger, soy dog, or any other product made with ample soy is the perfect way to get protein.

This would be beans and bean derived foods like tofu, tempeh, all the soy based luncheon meats, sunflower seeds. Peanut butter is nutritious but it's not the best source of protein for a vegan. There certainly are such things as protein supplements, too, but most of them taste pretty chalky or worse. Don't you have a natural food store where you live? They should have a variety of foods for you to choose from. There is even soy based cheese available. We prefer Tofutti brand.

Whole grains, beans are very good sources and almost everything else has protein in it as well. It's almost impossible not to get enough.
