I have a 1 year old son who is anaphylactic to milk and is therefore drinking soy formula during the day (while I'm at work) and breastfeeding at night. I heard recently that soy may actually be bad for him. Is this true? Where can I research this information? How about soy milk - is that also bad for you?

My friend from school is a foxhunter and she has really high blood pressure. She dines on bought meat, roadkill and seafood!!!!! I am really worried about her because she has really red skin and looks 10/20 years older!!! She is really exhausted and her husband has hinted that there isn't a great deal of action under the bedlinnen!!!!!

I am really concerned as she is a good mate. How do I convince her to eat a vegetarian/vegan diet????????

ok, none of my friends or family are supportive of me being vegatarian. it's been a year and a month and people are still taughting me about it. they all ask "why" and "how". i became veg because i think it's wrong to eat animals but with people treating me wrong im thinking about eating meat again.

what should i say to them or do?

I understand how vegans want to be a part of some cult to feel special. However, I would like some advice on how to convince a friend to include a little animal flesh in his diet. This friend is very weak and pale. I am worried about the effects of a vegan diet lacking in complete proteins that you can only find in animal flesh.

The vehicle maintenance bay is my new secret cheese factory. It’s my surprise present for my senior chief. Trouble is how do tell by the color or the smell of the cheese if it is too rip.

I've been a vegetarian for about 12 years and I still get wound up by people who accuse vegetarians of not cooking for non-vegetarians. I cook meat for my family, I have no qualms about handling raw meat and carving cooked meat. My dogs eat meat, I handle and cook meat for them and recently skinned two dead rabbits for them, which I admit to finding unpleasant and I did have to put a bag over their heads. One rabbit was a fresh roadkill, and the other was from a friend. The most horrific thing was when I came to remove the cooked meat from the bones I found very early stages of development of 4 babies in the roadkill rabbit and that upset me a lot, although I guess that makes me a hypocrite? But seriously, I choose not to eat meat but other people don't and it's not my business if they want to eat meat.

I was eating Tiger Shrimp earlier and for the first time I noticed that on their backs they have these long strings. They are almost like little spines running up their backs and under the meat. I was so grossed out I couldn't eat them. What is this?
