I would say just take some sort of gas medicine regularly... and talk to your doctor. I can honestly tell you that never happened to me... maybe its your body adjusting going from being a meat eater to being a veggie.

Like the above answerer said - cut out refined foods such as white rice, white pasta, noodles,, bread. Concentrate on wholegrains and wholemeal foods like wholegrain pasta, brown rice, wholemeal bread. Don't eat beans and lentils with added sugar, instead soak them from dried packs or rinse tinned beans thoroughly before cooking, so you remove most of the sugar.
As it's only been 2 months you might well find that your gas problem improves as your body adjusts itself. It's not abnormal to get a lot of problems when you change diet - you can get diarrohea for a few days when you suddenly eat a lot of fruit, for example, but it sorts itself out.
Taking a digestive enzyme tablet is a good idea as your gas is coming from undigested food, so a tablet will help improve the digestion and ease the gassiness.
The main culprits for causing gas are cabbage, onions, caluflower and broccoili, so you might want to avoid them to start with and then gradually introduce them when your stomach feels better.
Failing all this, you MAY have a food intolerance (which causes gas) so you might have to try an elimination diet to find the culprit. BUT don't do this before trying everything else first.
Good luck, it will pass - literally!

You mean like trapped gas?
Best thing you can do is alter your diet. There are foods more likely to cause gas, some fruits, vegetables, etc. Eat more fibrous foods and look up the ones that cause gas.
I had the same problem myself. I would have horrific gas every day (along with other digestive problems), turns out it was because I had IBS and the whole thing was fixed with a perscription medicine. If more is wrong than gas, you should soo a GI specialist.
Aside from that, more gas just comes with the vegetarian diet :/

You should try herbal peppermint tea. This WILL do the trick. It works wonders. You can even try using it along with chamomile tea. They both are really soothing....and that peppermint will knock that gas right out! You can get a box from your local healthfood store for about 4 bucks or less. Some grocery stores carry herbal teas as well. My two fav brands are Celestial Seasonings, and Traditional Medicinals. Good luck!

Captain! Don't fall for the old vegetarian trick! Vegetarianism is fine, but if you are still on refined foods, you are not even halfway there, and that's what gives you gass. Any industrial sugar, white flour, shortenings/ leavenings in your food? That's your explanation. If not - any maple syrup, dried fruits? Same thing. Revert to pure salads and veggies and expensive oils, cut out the magic wonder products, and the gas is gone. Good Luck.

It might be a food combining problem. Some foods inhibit the digestion of other foods. It's not complicated, but more than I'm wanting to explain. Google in "food combining" and take your pick. There's lots of sites which will explain this. Read the suggestions regarding what not to do and see if, in fact, you might be doing some of them.

If your blood type is O or B you can forget it. Your digestive system needs meat (lean) to breakdown and keep you going. If she is A she should have no problems becasue her stomach does not have much acid.
