No true vegans DON'T eat sweets because sugar is refined by a process that uses animal bones. So they avoid it. They would avoid all dairy chocolate anyway because of the milk content, never mind the sugar.
BTW Vegetarions don't eat any fish, and if you do eat fish you shouldn't call yourself a vegetarian as it isn't accurate. Vegetarians don't eat anything that once lived.

Regular chocolate like the big corporations use have dairy, so we can't have that. But if you get dark chocolate or specially-made vegan chocolate, it's fine.
Other sweets are harder to tell. For example, skittles and starbursts have gelatin, which comes from animals, so we can't eat that.
The only way to know for sure is to check the labels or make things at home yourself.

Candy is tricky, not only because we vegans have to watch out for milk, but also for sugar. Sugar companies filter the liquid sugar through charred beef bones instead of carbon to make it white. It's cheaper for them this way. So most vegans will only eat sugar that is certified vegan (such as agave nectar or Florida Crystals). When I buy candy, I look for the vegan certification on the package, and I also will only eat from certain brands that I know are trustworthy.

Vegans can eat candy and chocolate. They can't eat food that comes from animals. They can choose to eat processed food but they wouldn't be a vegan anymore.

I'm not vegan. I'm not 100% sure but I don't see why you can't eat candy. Chocolate has dairy in it but not all that much I don't think. Good luck and I hope you get at least half of a chocolate bar.

Vegans are strict vegetarians and exclude ALL animal products.
Chocolate is made with milk, so no, a true Veagan would not eat chocolate. Double check the label, you might find some that has no milk in it.

I think you're a tad confused."processed foods"???Some will drink milk, but not eggs. You're not killing anything by drinking milk. And what does chocolate have to do with it??Chocolate comes from a plant !
