I don't want plain old scrambled eggs today.

By the way, don't like poached eggs, so that and eggs benedict out of the question.

Omelet, scrambled, anything else welcome.

Is there a secret way to cooking them? Honestly, I follow the directions on the box of bisquick and they end up all bubbly and weird looking, then after eating them, they sit at the bottom of my stomach like a pound of bricks.

I'm making gingerbread cookies. What kind of frosting do I use to make it smooth and hard. It's the kind you pour onto the cookie and makes it smooth.

The men can do one of two things;
1) Take us all out to a hotel for dinner
or
2) Do a BBQ for us on an open grill. Steaks, sausage, chicken and so on. In that case I will make a salad or two.

I live in Africa and it will be a hot, sunny day on Christmas day

What are some unique ways to package homemade cookies, given as Christmas presents? I'm wanting to steer away from the usual Christmas-themed tin this year. Low-cost, attractive ideas--prefereably with packaging that can be reused by the recipient to store other things throughout the year (so the gift will be clutter-free)? Thanks!

My supervisor makes truly fabulous cakes for everyone's birthdays, but now it's her birthday in 2 days and I've been voted in as interim dessert chef - Eep! She always makes a special effort for us (eg she made me orange cake with mascarpone) and I just want to return the thoughtfulness. Something along the lines of the orange cake would be great, though obviously not the same. Any suggestions?

For a little more info she HATES bananas and lives for baking, coffee and shoes. Hope that helps you... help me ;)

I have a bottle of white balsamic vinegar that is about 3 months old and has only about 1/4 of the vinegar gone. Today I noticed that, lingering at the bottom of the bottle, are a few mealy-looking solid things that look almost like they could be rinds from grapes. I didn't notice them there before, but maybe they were and I just didn't notice. Does vinegar solidify ever at the bottom a little bit like this (at room temperature)? Does this mean my vinegar has gone bad?

My boyfriend and I are throwing a christmas party in a few weeks for over 20 people. We're asking everyone to bring a snack or dish. But I want to make some food also. I've already got recipes for cheese balls and cookies. But does anyone else have any other ideas for little party foods that dont take long to make?

Thanks!

I love cream based pasta dishes, such as alfredo and chicken guiseppe. However, whenever I try to re-heat them after a night in the refrigerator by means of the microwave or stove, the oils and cream separate and refuse to blend back into the nice, delectable mixture that they once were. I was wondering: does anyone know how to re-heat a cream-based sauce?

For our semi-formal dance it was decided that the guys would be responcible for cooking dinner for the girls. I wuld have been more than happy to just go eat out somewhere, but i guess thats not happening.
I am an 18 year old male, reasionably well hersed in the kitchen; can follow directions and understand most ideas about cooking. I am looking to prepair some dish and dessert that will just wow her and everyone else i the group. Each guy is just cooking for their own date. Time and money not really a factor (Excluding some rediculous ideas, but come on). I just need some killer ideas on how to seriously impress her and her friends. Thanks for any help. -Kev
