Sounds like a "poor man's" bruschetta. Try brushing a little extra virgin olive oil mixed with garlic on the cracker before you put on the tomato and cheese.

That sounds like it would be good...I'm hungry as we speak!
Use a Ritz cracker with a thin slice of cheddar (you could mix and match too; this slice of cheddar and swiss). If you want to season it, try a little basil and parmesan. Pop it in the oven just long enough for the cheese to melt really good.

well for starters dont put salt on it
cheese is salty enough for flavour and sodium will draw the water from the tomato and make your cracker soggy
basil is a definate, ground black pepper
rub the cracker with a peeled clove of garlic
yummy

That's called a Pizza Cracker, and I would use the Toaster Oven for that! ( also, you can use a bagel or an English Muffin)
Yum
