So we just moved in to our new apartment and our fridge isn't going to be delivered until next week. What are some meals that I can cook daily without worrying that it will spoil?

We've done the whole hamburger helper thing and we're frankly sick of that. I go to the grocery store everyday because it's just around the corner, but I am running out of ideas. HELP.

Please and thank you :).

Has anyone made any homemade tortillas lately, particularly one who asked me for a recipe (you know who you are, lol)? No, seriously, to everybody, how often do you make them, and what are the different ways, if any, that other people like to make their homemade tortillas?

Do I put the whole piece in there or just a portion of it? I also will put in ham pieces in it as well. I've never used it before, so I don't know anything about it.

Does anyone make their own quiches from scratch and have a great recipe? I've made them before- ham and cheese, but am looking for some different ideas, including meat and vegetables or just vegetables.
Also, what's the best pastry to use? I think I've used shortcrust and it's turned out ok. Is this the right pastry to use?

When I was little, my mom always made cheese sandwiches with Miracle Whip. I don't like Miracle Whip, so I make cheese sandwiches with Helmann's Mayonnaise. I made a cheese sandwich for my daughter and her best friend yesterday and her friend told me the sandwich was gross. Her mom and dad AND my boyfriend all made fun of me for not knowing how to make a cheese sandwich! Am I the only person that eats cheese sandwiches with mayo instead of ketchup? That sounds gross to me. Am I wrong?

I have 2 porterhouse steaks (T-bone) that I'm going to broil tonight for my lova and I want to impress him (he probably thinks I'll burn them!) They are about an inch thick and I do have a broiler pan.

I'm looking for cook times for medium well, and what degree should I set the oven at? Should I only flip the steaks once?

I do have time to run to the store to grab some things, but I was just intending on seasoning them with ground pepper and garlic seasoning. What do you think about that?

Please don't tell me to just grill them because that is out of the question! Thanks for your time;)

I'm making rice and chicken tonight (Adobo seasoning with the chicken, its philipino style sauce/asian style) I don't know what else to have with it, the rice is plain white rice.

I'm thinking some vegitables but I don't think any of the veggies I have would go with it, any suggestions as to what to have with it?

would a side salad work?

Put the flour, salt, pepper and garlic powder in a brown paper bag. One by one, coat the chicken parts with mixture.
In a large skillet, fry the chicken in 1 inch of hot oil until golden brown. Remove the chicken from the pan and drain the oil.
Put the chicken back into the pan and cover the pieces with cooking sherry. Cover the pan and reduce to simmer. Let simmer for 20 minutes. Serve.

so , what else can or should or even do i have to use instead of sherry?

I would enjoy some new ideas to prepare up frozen stew vegetables. I am looking for new ideas to jazz them up as a side dish. I am serving them with a roast but do not want them served the typical way you would normally see them served with a roast. I just bought some of those new Ziploc zip & steam bags but not sure what to accent the vegetables with. Thought of a bit of seasoning salt or dill but would enjoy seeing everyone elses ideas.
