i wanna make my lunches more interesting! my usual sandwich fillings - cheese, egg mayo or ham (haslet lately - more flavour.) i want to eat something more interesting - preferably something i can easily and quickly make at home, rather than shop-bought stuff. bear in mind it may need to be made the night before! and if it's sandwiches they are likely to get squished in my bag, as it's hard to fit a box in my bag along with my books! so bear that in mind as well (so no seriously messy fillings please!)

thanx in advance :)

the serving amount is only one candy apple and it says it only has 4 grams of sugar in it. The candy apple mix makes only 12 apples. How is that possible if it says to add 2.5 cups of sugar??????????

How should I cook this and for how long if I'm not putting it in a turkey?

White Castle Turkey Stuffing

10 White Castle hamburgers, no pickles
1 1/2 cups celery, diced
1 1/4 tsp. ground thyme
1 1/2 tsp. ground sage
3/4 tsp. coarsely ground black pepper
1/4 cup chicken broth

In a large mixing bowl, tear the burgers into pieces and add diced celery and seasonings. Toss and add chicken broth. Toss well. Stuff cavity of turkey just before roasting. Makes about 9 cups (enough for a 10- to 12-pound turkey). Note: Allow 1 hamburger for each pound of turkey, which will be the equivalent of 3/4 cup of stuffing per pound.

Hi, yesterday I cooked some hard boiled eggs. I boiled them in hot water on the stove, let them cool a tiny bit, drained some water out of the pot, and then let them cool some more. After a few minutes, I put them in a bowl, still warmish. Then, my brother, sister, and I each ate one. THEN, we left the hard boiled eggs on the counter in the bowl. Finally, it's the day after cooking these eggs, and I want one for breakfast. But first I need to know this: since the hard boiled eggs were never refrigerated, will they be harmful or bad to eat? I've never NOT refrigerated any hard boiled eggs. Please help!

Sounds like a ridiculous question, but usually pork doesn't have a strong taste. Occasionally, however, I'll cook some pork and it has a noticeably "porky" smell and taste (it's NOT spoiled). Is there a way to get rid of that taste?

I have two questions about cooking:

1. How much, exactly, is one cup of butter?

2. Without using a candy thermometer, how would you know if what you're cooking has reached the "soft ball stage?"
