My husband is making fish fry tonight and I have no idea where he got the recipe from, but it calls for a CE tsp salt. What is that? And the C and the E are combined and touching. It also calls for a Y cup of cornstarch and water. There are two dots above the Y. What is that converted to the US cooking chart? Please help!

The sandwich consists of the following:
Rye bread
Light mayo
Stone ground mustard
Swiss cheese
Salami
Thinly sliced red onion
Thinly sliced tomato
Thinly sliced avocado

There is something missing, what is it? It is the cornerstone of this sandwich, something which would improve it exponentially.
You have to come up with the correct answer. The first to do so gets the 10 points.
You cannot take anything off of this sandwich, it must stand with these ingredients.
This sandwich is a personal favorite.
Good luck.

I marinated some tri tip in a marinade for like 5 hours. Is it ok
if I bring the marinade up to a boil after the meat has marinated to serve as a au jus type of sauce? Is this safe?

I am a complete mess when it comes to grocery shopping! (The great irony is I'm someone's personal cook part time....good cook, bad shopper, I guess!)

I am a college student and have only this year gone off a meal plan.

I've been a wreck; I usually just soups and PB&J because I'm so overwhelmed.

I love to cook, but I don't know how to plan for the week.

Please help!

How do I get organized? Should I plan out my meals in advance? (That's what I do for my boss)

I'm hosting Thanksgiving this year, and am looking for a diabetic-friendly dessert recipe that does not taste like cardboard. The ones I've tried so far have been very bland and boring. It does not have to be easy. I generally make everything from scratch.

Thanks for your help!

All the ones I looked up in the internet have buttermilk or vinager in it. I'm looking for the one that has celery, carrots, black olives and mayo. But I don't know if there is anything else that goes in it.Like any other veggie or some other spice. Just a simple macaroni salad. THANKS

I know to mix dry and wet ingredients separately and to not overmix. I got this recipe online which sounded good but the batter gets too thick - the outside gets cooked but the inside is rather goopy. Seems I need a whole lot more liquid, but can a recipe be that far off? Or do you have a better pumpkin pancake recipe?? Thanks!!!

1 cup white flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
2T brown sugar
1T baking powder
1-1/2 t pumpkin spice
1 t salt
1-3/4 milk
1/2 cup pureed pumpkin
1 egg
2T oil

In the 6 years that I have been married I have never made Thanksgiving or Christmas Dinner. We always go to 3 dinners (my parents', my father-in-law's, and my mother-in-laws) This year we are going to out of town for Thanksgiving to visit my husband's Grandpa who lives alone and I am going to be cooking Thanksgiving Dinner. I am a little intimidated because I've never cooked a BIG meal with so many different things before. I'm not sure what to make or where to start so I would love to see what everyone else is doing to get some ideas.

So what do you usually make (or what are you planning to make) for Thanksgiving this year?
