try a rump roast or bottom round or even a chuck roast( has more flavor, but it's fattier). Cut up an onion, couple of carrots. Salt and pepper to taste (a good blast of both), garlic cloves 1,2,3,4,5 whatever....depends on how much taste and garlic you like! and to make it real easy add some beef stock(you'll find that in the soup section of your local market. I would recommend that you brown the meat in a frying pan with seasonings first to seal in juices ( it only takes 5 mins) the dump it all in the crockpot on about 250 for a few hours and you'.ll have a nice tasting, easy meal. PRICE DEPENDS ON THE EXISTING MEAT PRICES IN YOUR AREA!!!! shouldn't be more the 10 bucks for 2 people. enjoy

Try the website listed below. It has some terrific slow cooker recipes. You will however convert the recipe to accommodate 2 people rather than the usual 4 or 6.

Hopefully this helps you out, and Bon Appetite.

Ok, you're gonn have to do some of the work yourself! Most recipes do not feed 2, so you need to divide the quantities to make it feed only 2.

Also, if a recipe calls for HIGH for so many hours, you an change it to LOW and double the time.

Thai Chicken (Slow Cooker)

4 large chicken breasts, boneless/skinless
1 T. ginger
3 green onions, sliced
1 (14oz) can coconut milk
1/2 to 3/4 t. turmeric
1/4 to 1/2 t. crushed red pepper
1 (8oz) can pineapple chunks, drained (save the juice)
2 T. cornstarch
2 T. cold water (I used the juice from the pineapple)
Cooked rice
Chopped peanuts

Place chicken (season with salt & pepper) in crockpot and add ginger, green onions, coconut milk, turmeric & crushed red pepper. Cover & cook on low 5 to 6 hours, until chicken is very tender. Turn crockpot on high; add pineapple. In a small bowl mix cornstarch & water (pineapple juice); add to chicken mixture. Cook on high 15 to 30 minutes. Serve over rice and sprinkle with peanuts.
