I apologize, I'm not able to provide the exact amounts I used...I eye-balled everything. I used one bar of milk chocolate and about 2 1/2-3 handfulls of bittersweet chips, and maybe 1/4 cup heavy cream and about a tbsp. of butter.

Do you think this will setup firm in the freezer? I want to make an ice cream pie, and would like to use it over my cookie crust, and on top of the ice cream. Think I should add more butter? Would I be better off just topping the ice cream with it?

Thanks for your time.

I have a couple ideas in mind for a dinner party of 7 people including me, I don't want anything too fancy because its not really a dinner party its just some friends over for dinner. I have a couple ideas and tell me what you think of them but if they dont sound good or you want to, just add some other ideas in for me...

Idea 1:
grilled barbeque ribs with potatos and salad

Idea 2:
stuffed shells with garlic bread and salad

Idea 3:
Make-your-own burrito bar

Idea 4:
Filo dough- chicken pot pie

Please tell me if you have any other ideas and tell me which one sounds the best out of my ideas...tanks in advance!...

I used to have a chart, but it seems to have vanished...The ham in question is almost exactly 2 1/2 pounds. How much time will it need, covered, at a gentle simmer? Thanks.

Ok this may be a dumb question but I am trying to make a recipe I have that calls for Tomato sauce and all I have is tomato paste. I know they are two different things when they come out of the can but is there a way to mess around with the paste to make it into sauce??? Thank you!

I've sarted deep frying in peanut oil and, although it may be more expensive, the flavor is great and the odor is negligible. However, how can you tell when it's time to replace the oil with new oil?

It calls for 8 tablespoons of butter. But there's a picture of a stick of butter. Is that the same amount, or no?

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question to ask

Hi,
I just had some really good mac and cheese and now it makes me want to make some. But I want the real kind, not the kind from the box.

So how do you make it? I can't believe I don't know how, but I don't, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

I use the Pillsbury pie crusts that you unroll into your pan. I use a glass pie pan. Do you have to use a different temperature when using a glass pan vs. a metal pan? I've tried pre-cooking the crust and also not pre-cooking the crust before putting the pumpkin pie filling in. (I think I've even tried pricking a few holes in the crust when I pre-baked it.) Each time it would look and taste like the bottom of the crust was still uncooked. Because of this problem, I haven't made pumpkin pie in a long time. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Should I make apple-pie, pumpkin-pie, or banana bread for Thanksgiving? My mom is catering the food, and she needs help with the cooking and planning. I am just as good a cook as my mother because I had my best friend sample my banana bread and he LOVED IT!! So he said to me with a skinny, yet rough finger in my face, "Thanksgiving is coming up and I want a fat loaf!" That was my mother's recipe, by the way. Which one should I make though? So much good food, only one day. Shame... It should last 2 days with all that meat and good stuff.
I'm hungry, now. Who wants homemade tuna?
