Ok this may be a dumb question but I am trying to make a recipe I have that calls for Tomato sauce and all I have is tomato paste. I know they are two different things when they come out of the can but is there a way to mess around with the paste to make it into sauce??? Thank you!

Add water. All paste is more condensed the then sauce. That is the only difference.

Put the paste in a bowl, while stirring slowly add a bit of red wine, stock or water to get the consistency you want

Until it reaches the consistency your looking for.
start with refilling the can with water and keep adding until your satisfied.
