My husband is making fish fry tonight and I have no idea where he got the recipe from, but it calls for a CE tsp salt. What is that? And the C and the E are combined and touching. It also calls for a Y cup of cornstarch and water. There are two dots above the Y. What is that converted to the US cooking chart? Please help!

WTH?! I think you'd better find another recipe that's not written in algebraic notation.

It's probably some sort of printing error or some such. How about ignoring the bizzare notation, as it already seems to list tsp, cups, and the like.
