I'm trying to make a sugar free pumpkin pie and you need to cook vanilla pudding with pumpkin. I only have the instant kind. What would happen if I cooked it? Can I just make the pudding then add the pumpkin or would the consistency be really odd?

I was wondering what I could do to spruce up my poor student food. I have about $3-4 every day for food. Typically I spend it on Ramen, cans of beans, potatoes, ravioli, etc.
The problem is, I am extremely sick of eating this almost every day.
What would you suggest I do to vary up my meals? But still stay on my tight budget of $3-4/ day. Any recipe ideas?
Is this question too hard because I can't think of anything...

Points for trying :-)

I'm going to a girls night out Holiday potluck and I need something good to make. I can bring an appetizer or a dessert. The girls seem to go for things that loook really nice and are usually high in calories, but hey it's a party. Any good suggestions?

I'm allergic to wheat and yeast and it seems I have two choices A) eat very boring and repetitive food or B) stay in the kitchen all day
I don't like either choice.
Does anyone have EASY wheat and yeast free recipes?

Put a question on here a while back regarding dish washing cast iron cookware. Anyways, it turns out it is actually hard-anodized cookware. We ran 4 pieces through the dishwasher and they came out with a gray flaky film on them. We received these pans as a wedding present and did not know that you could not dishwash them. They appear to be bleeding color everywhere now when combined w/ water. My question is, is should I throw these pots away or is it still safe to cook in them? The insides seem fine still, but I read something about the flaking film being toxic.

I am on a diet, my main source of protein is either fish or chicken. I am not much of a "fish eater" I bought a Red Snapper fillet from my local supermarket and put some seasoning salt on it and baked it. It was ok but the flavors were not very good together. What is a good kind of fish to buy and how can I prepare it without using a lot of extra calories (sauces, marinades ect...) and only some simple spices or vegtables ect.

I just bought steamers from my local grocery store. Should they be completely sealed, or slightely opened? Also I have yet to cook them, and they smell really, really bad! Is this normal, or should I not even bother cooking my steamers? Now based on both these facts should I, or should I not cook and eat my steamers?

I am allergic to mustard, so that is the only ingredient that CANT be in it.

I am looking for a sweet glaze to go on a ham, preferably something that includes brown sugar.

Thanks!
