I asked earlier what would be a good dry white wine for roasting my turkey and I got alittle confused by the feedback so I'm wondering if I'm able to substitute chicken broth for the dry white wine??

Absolutely. You can also find turkey broth this time of year - I bought Swansons. But, any brand of chicken broth would work just as well.

The wine is a trick used by chefs to loosen the drippings off the bottom of the pan for making gravy and the wine flavor/alcohol evaporates. You don't have to do this; drink the wine.Use Swanson chicken broth for your gravy and to moisten the stuffing. You do NOT add liquid when roasting a turkey.
Try this...put neck and gizzards in your large pot and cover with 2 boxes chicken broth (Swanson) or water/chicken bouillon (you can even just use plain water) to fill pot just over half full. Add: 1 whole peeled onion, celery sprig with leaves (broken in half) and a carrot (broken in half or whole). Salt/pepper (5 peppercorns are perfect). Bring to boil, cover and simmer on low for 3 hours. Strain into bowl throwing away veggies and saving meat for gravy. Feed liver to cat. This is how ya make homemade turkey broth. BTW-take the liver, only, OUT after 15 minutes of simmering.

Sure can also, I always place butter pats up under the skin and push down as far as I can. I try to place bout 4-5 on each side of the breast spaced out a bit. Keeps the breast moist and delicious and not a lot of work. Happy Turkey Day to all.

Yes you can. But rest assured the wine is much better. I've made my this way for the last 10 years. Buy a fresh turkey tho.

I inject apple juice into the meat of my turkey. It gives the meat an unimaginable flavor and moistens the meat alot.
