I've bought some fresh lasagna sheets, but it says I should cook them in boiling water. Surely if I'm going cover them in sauce, then put it in the oven for 45 minutes, I don't need to soften it up first do I?

I have several recipes that sound wonderful (chicken caccitore; homemade veggie pizza, etc) except for the olives. We really don't like olives, and these recipes sound too good to just throw out otherwise. Any suggestions for substitutes that would complement these sort of dishes without reminding us of olives in taste or texture? Thank you.

I have about 3 slices of bread which are too old to be eaten (I kept them in the freezer for a while) but otherwise are good (not rotten or something). I don't want to throw them away. What can I prepare from/with them?

I'm gonna cheat a little and use canned cooked chicken. My question is...How many 5 oz. cans (drained) do I need? Can anyone help or should I open a can and empty it into a measuring cup and keep adding until I have a cup and multiply that by 6? I know it sounds like a stupid question...but Kroger has canned chicken on sale right now. How many ounces of meat like this makes a cup? Serious question.

If I were to use fat free cream cheese in a pumpkin roll, would the frosting still be the ok? I only have fat free cream cheese right now. Would I have to add cornstarch?

This is the recipe I am using:

Someone told me you make it from sour milk, by boiling it, adding lime juice, and draining it through a cheese cloth. i don't have a lime or a cheese cloth. can i still make it from the sour milk only (and using a regular cloth)?
