Does anybody have any quick, easy recipes that I can use to make dinners for my partner who hates my cooking?
We have been together for 6 months, and I have cooked for him three times in that time period. Every time, he criticizes everything about my food, one time, he said, "This doesn't belong on the plate, it belongs in the garbage."
Granted, I am not the best cook, but I think I do alright. My meats usually wind up tough on the outside but moist on the inside, sometimes slightly dry. I usually don't follow recipes for meats or pastas, I make up things as I go. I like to use alot of garlic, oils, and italian seasonings.
The last dinner I made was chicken breasts cooked in lemon juice and vegetable oil, topped with raspberry sauce and layed over plain pasta, boxed mashed potatoes, and brussel sprouts on the side.
Any suggestions for foods to make? Remember, nothing too complicated.
PS - My partner is an excellent cook and has catered many events, including weddings.

Does anyone know a good one?

The one I use has pistachios, vanilla pudding, and pineapple. Along with green food coloring.

Does anyone know any other way to do it, such as extra ingredients or spices to put in it? I still want the same thick consistency, though.

Hi there

Having chateaubriand tonight...

I know hollandaise sauce had like a talbe spoon of minced onion, 3 egg yolks, 1 cup butter, some tarragon and white wine vinegar?

Is that right or am I forgetting something? How much white wine vinegar?

Anyone have a simple recipe for a Hollandaise that uses those ingredients?

thanks!

I want to cook my husband something really special tonight. I enjoy cooking and I cook for him every day. I am looking for a recipe idea that is something special. I don't mind spending a lot of time in the kitchen, if necessary. So, any ideas?

My eldest son is getting really bored with the meals i do but i'm struggling to find the time to try out new ideas! I bought a slow cooker and a recipe book to go with it but i'm reluctant to try different dishes in case no-one in the house will eat it and we end up having to order take away! I'm looking for some really child friendly meals that aren't spicey and are healthy. He especially loves his veg and pasta but i'm struggling to find any quick sauces, etc to go with them.

Rather than the weird ingredients which most cookbook recipes ask for, like cider or a single chilli. I want a cookbook which contains recipes using ingredients I always have at home, instead of weird ingredients I have to go out of my way to buy.
