I want to marinade it in Garlic/herb for about an hour and then soak it in egg to get the breading to stick. Think it will stick?

Any marinating tips? I only have an hour to soak the chicken?

after the marinade, dry off the chicken and dust it with flour. the flour will help the egg and breading stick. instead of flour, you may want to try bisquick. i've found it just makes the final product a little bit richer.

If you dry it off after the marinade, you could still bread it. I'm not sure how much marinade will be able to soak in in just an hour though.

If it is a light breading, like Panko crumbs or Italian bread crumbs, you won't need the egg. Just take the chicken out of the marinade and lightly roll in the crumbs.
Sound yummy!

Lightly grease a baking dish. Place chix parts in dish. Pour in enough Low Calorie Italian salad dressing to come 1/2 way up chix (use a dish that fits, use 1 c dressing) Bake at 350 F for 35 - 45 minutes or til juices run clear. Cover with foil or baste with juices 1/2 way thru, depending of moistness of chicken. Serve with basmati rice and steamed Brussel Sprouts. That's as easy and low cal as you can get and still taste good.

why do you need the egg? you already have the marinade to wet the chicken, so the bread crumbs should stick to the chicken.
if you are worried about losing the flavor, you can mix a little bit of the marinade to the bread crumbs, but don't make it soggy.

Pierce the chicken all over with a fork before submerging in the marinade.

After marinating, pat it dry with a paper towel and proceed as normal. Yes, the breading will stick.
Sounds delish!

Absolutely! When you're done marinating just prepare your egg wash(I recommend a splash of butter milk whisked in with your eggs) batter them well and set them on a plate and here's the secret to helping your batter stick better - return the chicken to the fridge until you're ready to fry, for at least 15 minutes....when you're ready (make sure your pan is the right frying temp) dust the breasts again making sure to shake off any excess and drop them in... finger licking good!!!

Yes. the breading will stick & your chicken will taste better. Let the breaded chicken sit in the refrigerator for 15 minutes so that the breading sticks even better. Enjoy!

just take it right out of the marinade and put it in the breading it should stick then or just dry it off and put the eggs on it and bread it that way!
