Chicken, fish and seafood, If it's an exceptional one, it won't do drinking it with fish and chips, obviously! And if you were eating lobster and oysters you wouldn't drink with it a "plonky" chardonnay. See? A bit of common sense goes a long ways, lol.

Chardonnay goes well with chicken, pasta with white sauce, Indian and Thai cuisine and creamy soft brie or camembert .

Nothing buttery. G-d knows that chardonnay is too buttery and oakey nowadays due to the barrel aging. I switched to a lighter white, like sauvignon blanc.

-Savory crepes with smoked salmon, creme fraiche & dill
-Broiled trout with lemon pepper
-A chicken ceasar salad
-Capellini pasta tossed with a tomato broth, chopped garlic an basil.
-Chicken picatta over a bed lemony rice
-Mushroom risotto
-An assortment of French cheese (Brie or Savarin), crostini & seedless white grapes
