my boyfriends told me toasted bread is better for you than untoasted is that true?!

Apparently, the supermodels use toasted bread to subdue their hunger pangs, but it has absolutely no nutritional difference to untoasted bread at all.
Bread is good for you - toasted or not.

Well, I've always wondered about this question myself. Now I have some answers! I always toast or grill my bread -love the crunch and extra texture without the mush. Glad to know that doesn't distract from nutritional value - some may say that toasted bread, being warm, absorbs more butter (if used) and adds calories etc. but it is toast for me!!

No, untoasted in nutrition is better. As for toasted it just have better taste.
