I am currently living China and I want to cook some southern traditional American food for my friends. The problem is I don't have an oven and the only type of cooking pan I have is a wok. I would like to cook something like mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, fried chicken, etc. Another problem and the reason I am asking here is I don't really know how to cook very well. If I did I am sure I would be able to figure this out. I am not completly hopeless I just need guidance. If you know any recipes online or have suggestions that would be great.

my husband & I have a childbirth class to go to tomorow, and it lasts from 6-8:30. we're supposed to bring out own dinners, and i work until 5:30, so we'll barely have time to grab it & take off to class. What can I make? something that doesn't require utensils or reheating would be great!! (and something healthy! protein needed!! & my husband hates veggies.)

THANKS!!!

People think i'm strange but I just love them! The bacon is salty and juicy and is great with a sweet, high quality jam. I far prefer it to cranberry sauce.

People are starting to think i'm strange with the weird sandwich concoctions I eat.

I was given a load of tree fallen apples which I peeled, chopped and placed in the freezer to use for cooking at a later date. The apples have gone a bit brown like they do when they have been peeled and left for a while. Do you think they will still be ok to use??

well this is like my second year of college and I wanted to know if anyone has any ideas to make a good heathy dinner in a microwave. becuase unfortunatly we are not allowed anything other than a microwave ex. a grill, hot plate, anything. I had a cool little steamer that would cook meats, veg, a bunch of stuff, but after I dropped out for a year I haven't been able to find anything like it. anyone have ideas? thanks

does anyone have a good bread pudding recipe that is NOT made with raisins? I used to work at a restaurant that made the best bread pudding and it has since gone out of business. they bread was put into crumbs so it wasn't cubed for the bake. there were no raisins in it. it was sweet and came with a sweet bourbon sauce that tasted like caramel...anyone have anything close?

I have a ham bone from a smoked ham I cooked tonight and I would like to cook it in a pot of beans. Can someone tell me the best way to do this?

What kind of beans are best to use? And do I need to soak them overnight? Then do I cook them all day the next day?

Thanks!

I'm just beginning to bake, and almost everything i've ever done is from a mix. I've never liked it, but i've never had the time or effort to make things from scratch. So could someone give me a cake recipe that won't be too hard to bake? Hopefully i'll go farther from there.
