What is the best way to prepare already-cooked crab legs (snow or king)? I've heard to rinse them to get the saltwater off. Is this true?

I say nothing boring because we just got back from 4 days at the lake. I've had all the ribs, hot dogs and hamburgers I'm going to want for a while. Tonight I was hoping to shake things up.

I've got to take a couple of dishes (or trays of little things) to my Mum's graduation party in a couple of weeks time and I feel a little uninspired.

I'm going to make a tomato, basil and mozzarella salad, and some chocolate dipped strawberries. Any one got any extra suggestions?

I used to eat it all the time in Va as kid, they only sell butter pecan in Ga. I haven't had it in decades and would love to have recipe to make at home, also I have found recipes for almond ice cream but not sure if it's the same.

I love cooking. But onions are a big problem for me! As soon as I cut one, I'm crying & sniffing! My eyes sting very badly. I've tried everything-slicing onions into half & putting in cold water for sometime before slicing, putting onions in the freezer before slicing them-to overcome this problem, but nothing seems to work! It's a very painful experience, literally. As onions are an important part of all Indian curries, it has become a problem I have to face everyday. What can I do to reduce the smell of the onions? Please help.

Looking for a new recipe idea. Usually we coat them in black pepper and sear on the stove and serve with a mushroom, cognac, and cream sauce.

I don't have any cream, broth, stock, consomme, or demi-glace. I do have most other standard items (dried herbs, spices, veggies, etc.)

Any ideas? Any spicy rub recipes (Southwest or TexMex)?

Thanks.

Hello, I was a guest at someone's house one time and they made the most amazing dish. I seem to remember it being called Dutch Cabbage. If I remember right it had cabbage, eggs ( I think), meat (maybe hamburger), and possibly potatoes. I am not sure of the ingredients. The food was chopped up into little pieces and was sort of like a hot salad. It was so good. I have searched the internet but nothing seems to match. I could be off on some of the ingredients it was like 10 years ago that I had it. Anyone have any ideas?
