It's my husband birthday and I would like to cook him something nice! It must be something that's fast and easy, because I'm a stay-at-home mum, so time is really not something I have much of! I'm also not that good a cook! It can be starters, main course as well as deserts. Thank you!

I have chicken, steak, and stew beef in the freezer. I don't want to do a beef stew because we just had that. I'm looking for something I can throw together in 5 minutes and let it cook on its own. Any ideas?

We went duck hunting this morning and didnt kill anything but a case of beer. So we hauled out the boat about 9:00am and headed to the liquor store to stock up on more brew. There is a big cemetary off the highway close to the store and we decided to just drop by and see if any duck were swimming around in the lake there. That dang lake must have a hundred mallards in it so that fool ex brother inlaw of mine pulls out his shotgun and cracks one off only he doesnt hit a duck. Somehow he dropped a big white swan by mistake. He grabbed it and we blasted outa there and headed home. He thought it was funny only I'm worried. i ran into some legal problems a while back when I caught a manetee once in florida and cooked it and found out later it was a crime. Let me tell you it aint no fun being questioned by the FBI. Anyway we cleaned and cooked the swan and it really tasted pretty OK with lots of sauce on it. Is this legal and any recipes would be nice.

Does egg size make a difference, when baking? I always buy large or x-large size eggs ... so, when I'm baking and the recipe asks for 3 eggs, I usually only add two. Will this affect the cake or cookies etc ... in any way?

Tonight I was attempting to make hamburgers...
I had about 2lbs of ground beef and 1lb of ground chuck,
to this I added some Worstechire Sauce, some A-1, some leftover marinade, some various seasonings (garlic pepper, season salt, a small dash of montreal steak seasoning) I also added some chopped onion and some shredded cheese (Like Rachael Ray, I dont always measure I ust eye ball it...) and at the last minute I added some powdered Lipton Onion Soup mix...
Mixed all the stuff up with my hands (yeah I washed them..) put it back in the fridge to get cold again,
turned on the electric griddle to high heat let it heat up, pulled out the burger mixture, made them into patties, plopped em on the grill...
Thing is as they were cooking, they lost structure, the meat wouldnt stay together...

So help please, what did I do wrong here, what could I do to improve it next time?

I'm...not very baking savvy. But I was making sugar cookies before. I dont know what the texture of the dough should be like though. Mine was crumbly. Is that okay? Or is it supposed to be smooth, like cake batter?

I mean...It seemed fine when I rolled it into a ball.

So we made the lasagna and just stuck it in. But we made too many noodles because they expanded (the dish wasn't deep enough for another layer). Any ideas what to do with the leftovers? Isn't there a dessert that uses lasagna?
