Normally no one keeps it but if you wish to utilise it then i will give you a very simple recipe. Get square shaped breads, cut them into four equal pieces using a knife. Get the rasgulla sugar syrup hot so that it comes in liquid state. Deep fry the bread pieces in the oil you use, till they become red or bit crispy. Now put all the bread pieces into the sugar syrup and leave them for few seconds or say 2 mins. Then take them out and place on a plate. You can have them hot and fresh else you can enjoy them cold too. This item is a great thing. You can have it any time you like. Well i learned this recipe from my mother.

You can use it as a sweetner in Dals and various sweet gravies, also can add some flavour/emulsion and make a cold drink by adding water/soda to the syrup.

use it as a filling or as a topping for pastry. Or make cookies or candy. Use it to top fresh fruit, ice cream etc.

Soak 1cup of urad or Mung dal for 2-3 hrs,Drain.Grind it finely.Add a pinch of salt to taste.Mix them in clockwise way,bubble formed.Heat oil,make small size pakora,deep into the hot rasagolla's syrup.Add some nutmeg pd.Taste it.

use to sweeten fruit salads,pour over the sponge base of trifles,strain & bottle,keep in fridge & use as required as sweetner for fresh lime juice or other fruit juices,good for homemade gulabjamun.In general use wherever a suagr base liquid is needed.

cook up some peanuts (on a stove) and crunch them up...combine it with the syrup (heat up the syrup..make it thicker) and cool it... eat it with tea or coffee

make more rasgullas! you can actually freeze it & use it the next time you make rasgullas.

or you can use it to make gulab flavored drinks.
